lego
Front Hope Mini. Just wondering if anyone has any tips for setting these things up? Pretty sure its on ok, you spin the wheel and nothing catches. But when I brake there seems less stopping power than my front magura had. Pads seems ok, any idea I can try. Thanks. Liam. Siders77
Is it all brand new? Because it might need bedding in? :S

quick_spider
Does it make a high pitched squealing noise? There's a chance the pads are contaminated with oil/grease. Could try cleaning rotor and sanding off top layer of pads and then bedding it in again, but I'd guess it really needs some new pads. rathergoodpie
if you wan't to make it work AMAZING, just invest in an ebc 203 rotor and some ebc green pads, and my word will you notice the difference! watch for the rotor flex mind.... :S"
colly
boil your pads in water, in a pan. oil floats to top of water, done it on loads of pads, alough it does depend one the type of oil, also fiddle on with the grud screw on the lever, you can get a lot more feel out of that screw not nessiarly more power but it feels like it, as it locks on quicker. :S
lego
ah nice tip on the boiling. I re-bled the bugger then soaked it in water to rebed in. (now that made them squeal) seems to be better, but yeah I agree maybe new pads will help. Edited May 13, 2005 by lego
