grantham
Hey i'm just trying to face off a set of echo pures using the hope facing tool. But the cutter is miles out of line with the holes, Yes i've got it in the right hole. If i line one hole up for cutting, when i come to do the opposite the cutter is just above or just below the other hole. Just wonder if anyones had the same problem? Tricky
Not with that particular frame, but have had it with others. On the hope tool you can set it for depth. Face one hole, then undo the allen wrench grug screw on the cutter grip and move the grip flush with the frame, and do up the grub screw. Remove the cutter, reposition the alignment mount and re-insert the cutter into the relivent hole for the second mount hole. When you've cut away enough metal from the disc mount the cutter grip will meet the frame. You should now have a well faced disc mount. Alt. get the magura one, if you've got £300.00 kicking around.
