zoojames
I just got my koxx shoes through, and they're size 10, as my feet are, and they fit fine but feel to thin? They rub on my little toe on my right foot but not my left...has anyone else found this problem? Could it be I have them on to tight or something? Cheers for any help James :S
aust
i just found my koxx shoes to be uncomfortable, lacking grip on the peddles etc did not like them at all.. that was when i got soooo many shinny's i now use ribo's ten times better to ride in and dead comfy. i suppose you will get use to the rubbing thing.. i can't say i had that problem with mine.... but yeah they are the worst trials shoes i've ever used
zoojames
Haha, fair enough, thought I'd give them a go though! I just didnt want to spend that much on shoes for the Ribo's nor even the montys... Also did you still use the laces in your koxx shoes? They seem preety useless with the fat velcro bit... aust
yeah i used one set of laces... but trust me... the ribos are well worth the money.. anyone who has used them will tell you that or if not you should of got a pair of yiks they are a fiver cheaper and still are alot better than the try all shoes Edited May 12, 2005 by aust
JT!
Don't worry about the rubbing, it goes within a week when they get worn in. I don't like my tryall boots anymore, they have holes in the soles where the pins on the pedals are. :S Yes you use the laces, the velco thing is just to keep the laces out of the freewheel, and you teeth in your gums. I personly dont think they are worth the money, but it nice to have some riding shoes, used only for riding. Heard great things about the ribbos though. :(" (Y)
aust
yeah :S its just that there is more of a soul if you know what i mean.. on the try alls its just like little shitty ridges.. which to be plainly honest do f**k all !.. on the ribos there is a decent soul with a deep treat so the pins in your peddles can slide back and forth (thus stopping you landing on the back of your head) Edited May 12, 2005 by aust

Matt_Tupman
Yeah i'd stay away from Koxx shoes really :( they don't actually offer much support and they don't last that long :S I love my Monty shoes i've had them since August last year and they are still going strong with to tears and no holes in the sole :- I haven't tried ribos but they also look very good and they have the Davos (sp (Y) ) sole like the Montys which is superb and offers plenty of grip and support Edited May 12, 2005 by Xdream
Bendee
burn the koxx shoes send the remains back to koxx and spend a little extra for the ribos, youll not regret it.
zoojames
Well I plan to get as much use out of these as possible! Really it was a kind of test to see if I liked trials shoes at all...I'm way to fed up of 60-70 pound skate shoes looking gash and slipping like a slug on ice! When I kill these I will probably go ribo/monty. Ribo's look to low and Monty's to high though? Is this just in the pictures of has anyone found this to be true? Is this just in the pictures of has anyone found this to be true? ← The Montys do cover more of your ankle than any of the compotition so thats why they look high but it's no reall a problem :S and they give you more support that way to. The Ribo look more like xc style shoes (lowish ancle support) in the last pic I saw (they may have released new ones with the v2 frame/site and stuff? I dont know) and the montys generally look very tall whereas my koxx seem in the middle and nice! James :S
aust
the ankle support is made of foam on ribo's so you dont notice it at all there is a big foam sock inside.. so f**kin comfy Edited May 12, 2005 by aust
zoojames
haha cool, dont your feet get really hot though? James :S
aust
no.. the material has like pinholes in.. so the air gets to your feet... koxx shoes are very breathable after a week of riding in them because they are full of f**king holes !!!
