stumps
Hey, i cannot decide at all what length i want, i have an ashton at the mo which is probably around the 1040 mark or summin. I just can't decide wether i wanna go full on 1085 or just go inbetween to 1065. I ride street and do mostly tech stuff mixed in with a bit of big stuff. I know i want to go longer but not so long that i can't control it easily as in throw it about, rather than just straight forward sidehops, touches, gaps etc....I am scared that the 1085 will just be too long for me. I am around 6ft1 so i doubt i'd have in trouble with reach. Which is best suited to me in your opinion? ta very muchas, Jez Edited May 11, 2005 by stumps
andyroo
My mate went from an Echo Urban to a full on 1090 Pitbull, hes about 6 foot 2, and the change has improved his riding loads, however, he didnt start improving untill he bought riser bars for it, than he dramatically improved. He rides a very smooth streety style, so go for it! Get the longer one! Longer is better :-

manguin2001
Sounds like you will suit the 1085, being rather tall, depending on what stem and bar setup you use will effect the way it feels. Long bikes seem to be the way forward at the moment so go for it. :S
aj_trials
i had the same problem as you, i had a 1025 planet x mk6 and i wanted a echo control but i didnt know whether i should get the 1065 or 1080 but matt staples and simon talked me into the fact "long is better" so i just bought a 1080 and haven't had one problem, its amazing. :S
zoojames
I'm 6ft and went from a Zebdi (1025wb) to a Onza T-Rex (1080wb) and its affected part s of my riding but thats due to the fact the Im running huge bar/stem combo, so 1085 with a shorter stem (around 90ish mark I'd say) will fell pimp (Y) James :S

Luke Drewery
I would probably go for long as im the same height as you, and i shouldnt think streety moves should be a problem unless your short. I can rag my 1065 levelboss around with no problems, but when im doing wheelswaps etc the length does make it harder. I tend to bang my knees on the bars too which is annoying :S
