DaiTrials
Hey all, I've just managed to save up more money than I thought I would, and my exams will soon over, so ....... After finnishing specing my Echo Control there is a bit left in the bank. I'm gonna use it to get a bmx. I want to do Dirt Jump and Street and I was wondering if there were any trials rider who are also bmx'rz that could give me some advice on a bike that would be good for both!? I was looking at the hoffman Rhythm PL1 on www.alansbmx.com and was wondering if it would be suitable for both, theres also a nice Fly bikes Estampida on ebay. I'd like some sort of feeback on those two, and any othr suggestions please? Dai
trialkid
dude how much have u got, i would say get a wethepeople, preferably the 4 seasons as i have one and it is so mint. rides better than most of the peoples bikes i have met in newport and around who have fully customised bikes. if you ever want a go i wil bring it out on a ride. fly bikes are also very nice mind. how much money have you got? Trials Punk
Macneil Mirron is an awsome frame. Thats what I have at the moment, its desgined for street, park and dirt. Not stupidly short and not too long so its in the middle. I have the old 7lb version, I'm very sure its gotten alot lighter. Thing is though you want some weight behind you to get you through trails. You could have a bash on mine aswell as nialls if I ever ride it. I have been doing some dirt latly.
Olly C
I went for a WeThePeople Thrillseeker a few days back, Im happy with mine :- I Chose it over the 4 Seasons because it has a proper front brake and front chrome rim which more suited my style, the colour turned out nice aswell. The hoffman bikes are meant to be very good this year, The one your looking at was reccomended by a few other people on the board if you've got the money (Y) Olly. 011001000110010101110010
Buy a complete bike new or second hand, then replace and upgrade the parts as you feel or need. Don't go for something too heavy as it will take forever to get used to.

DaiTrials
Right, Its come down to 2 bikes after hearing a lot of apinions. The Hoffman Rythm PL1 and the WeThePeople Thrillseeker. It has to be one of those 2, so can the experts please compare them, and find the cheapest prices and post your results, thnx, Oh yeah, and not to take my tirals habits across to bmx, but which is lighter, lol Dai Edited May 12, 2005 by DaiTrials
trialkid
thrillseeker is lighter, ask dez how light mine was, they are practically the same weight. also the thrillseeker rides lovely, has very good brakes for the price, chrome rims, a perfect gear ratio and well, they are just stunning. for 300 quid i think it should win hands down, its much lighter than the hoffman, and imo ride better. :S

DaiTrials
Thanks for all your help guys. I've just been tolfd that the old Hoffman rythm was a bit on the heavy side at 38lbs, but this years 2005 is only 30lbs, and has a better feel than the wethepeople thrillseeker. Can anyone confirm that the hoffman Rythm PL1 is actually this light ?? Dai
