Firstly what a good little boy Iam posting it in Chit Chat was tempted to put in in Vids and Pics but I resisted, anyway enough of me being a twat.

Bought second hand off Trialsboy560 Ive made a few changed and theres a few more to come. Gold and black intended colour scheme, its looking nice and rides just as nicely.

Destickered it was relucant to do it but Im very pleased I did as it looks so much nicer, cleaner lines more flowing.

Cut the seat post down

Put on some gold dustcaps (sad me)

Gold King headset arrived yesterday along with my new tyres and a chain tensioner but as Im at uni I cant fit them for another week

Going to be buying a gold seat clamp well posssibly deciding whether there wil lbe too much gold a set of flush bolts for the cranks and some new profile bar ends in black.

As for the ride it feels so damm nice been riding BMX for 2 days now and I can 180 bunny hop, grind partly still getitng the hang of that and manualing is alot easier. Overall its a world diffewrent to my trials bike yet the two complement each other so nicely that my learning progression should speed up quite considerably.

I'm at the same stage as you, it is a world apart from riding trials my python feels so weird after riding my BMX I thought BMX would be eaiser than it is its so heavy!

I've got 180's, just about 360's, X-up Manuals, and Feebles on Benches now after about 2 days :S

I'll post a pic up in a minute dude :S I've you've got msn then add me aswell.

just got mine too :P wasn't the one that i origionally wanted, but hey :S , it's a felt manic, quite nice actually, some of the parts are a bit basic but i'm in the proccess of upgrading, hence the following question, the wheels ive got are very standard, some cheapy chrome rims on felt hubs, i've been looking into getting an oddyssey hazzard cassette hub, on a sun big city chrome rim, does anyone know anything about the hub?¿ as i can't afford a profile i assume this one would be fine?¿ oooh and 36 o 48 spokes?¿ :P :)

EDIT: rhythm_101 on bros account :S

the hubs fine and works well but id look for a different rim mines fine and all but the chrome is shocking its pealing off and my brakes suffering loads so i need a new rim.

anyway the bmx looks cool i went for the black and gold theme ill try and find a pic of it, but ive changed it loads now so no longer black and gold.

throw away that front brake! Throw away that giro! If you dont, you'll find you just ride trials on it and do trials moves adapted to the bmx. You need to ride a bmx like a bmx if you know what i mean. Anyway, not meaning to argue.

Micheal that bike is rather nice, how are you finding the rear brake with those fibrax pads? Are they the red ones? Mine are utter poo. Thanks, :S

Don't you guys like barspinning then? The combination of lowering the seat and removing the giro make it much harder, and as almost the only trick I'm any good at on my BMX they mean a lot to me :) But I'm with derf on the front brake issue, it's cool for some moves, but there's so much to learn without it that it's not even worth the metal it's made from.

On the seat issue, I'm trying to find a high where its most useful for me, I had put it on at a height I thought was alrite, then on 180's I was hitting my leg so lowered it right down, then me wanting to try and learn barspins and stuff I needed something for my legs to grip to to hold the bike right and I've got rather Phil-Like legs so the seats at that height.

With the front break and gyro, I can see where your coming from with the trials moves but I don't feel comfortable riding without a front break, hence why I bought the thrillseeker with front chrome rim and a proper u-brake up front.

The brakes are both pretty pants but they need time to bed in I suppose.. We'll see probably end up with an evolver and plaz combo and probably rear only setup but for now I see no real reason to take it off and my trials moves were fairly BMX'y hence why I got one so hopefully my BMX moves wont be too trialsy :-

Olly.

Try telling that to Dave Osato. My BMX has a front brake and I don't ride trials on it. If I want to ride trials I get on my trials bike. There's no rule saying that you're only a proper BMX rider if you have no front brake.

Go to bmxonline.com and watch the Front Brake Revolution video.

And while you're there, check out Mirra's triple-whip attempts...

I got some new Beringer bars for my Federal from the Bike Show, and didn't get a chance to cut 'em down from their mammoth width. I'd been riding with them and they felt shit, and I hated my bike...

Cut an inch off each side last night, and oh my word, it feels awesome now. Just got so much more control (N) Learnt 360 tyre-taps just like "that" just now... Just feels so good! Really digging BMXing at the moment, mostly 'cos I don't have a trials bike at the moment (set to change in like... a few hours or so).
