Hey

I assume you all know the one I mean. It's the "Rofl is this you" sends link, if you click it it buggers you properly.

I know i'm a tard for clicking it but I'd much appreciate it if anyone could show me how to get rid of it, or suggest a program or something

Any information appreciated.

James

easiest way to get rid of it is do a system restore to the day before it happened, i told a friend to do this and it fully got rid of it for her B)

if you need instructions i will kindly donate them

while i am here, does anyone know of a patch at all for msn 7???? i keep getting abnormal program termination errors all the time along with on my computer it shows msn as signing it, while to other people who are in my contacts i am already signed in :S

so they try talking to me i dont notice then when i finally do get signed in they ignore me cos they think i have been ignoring them :D"

Ok with a little help from someone, well a lot of help (big thanks you know who you are) It's all sorted. ADAWARE gets rid of the main bug with a full system sweep. Just make sure you quarantine all critical and negligable bugs just to make sure. I did it twice just to make sure as I'm on a network and didn't want to cause any other issues.

After running adaware you will need to restart your pc. If you get a window like -

Make sure you click cancel. This is a part of a virus so if you let it run then you're gonna have problems.

Once you've done this you need to go, Start Menu > Run > Type "msconfig" You should get a window up which you will need to go to the "Startup" tag on. You will get a window like this -

All of the boxes should be checked and you will need to uncheck the following:

Make sure the commands are the same however, and don't bugger with anything or it's curtains. Now you need to click apply and once you quit it will prompt you to restart, do so and once you've booted up you should get a window asking about the changes made, click ok, uncheck the box etc and providing it all went ok the virus should be gone.

If anyone has any corrections on the above then please post as I'm simply regurgitating what I was told first hand.

Theres loads of these going round at the moment, theres one thats say "photo of us" or something.

It's the people who leave them on their computer for like a week befor they get rid of it, because of them they have infected 5 other computers. Get rid of it asap, and don't open msn if you do have it.
