Might Be A Stupid Question To Ask

ive watched a few videos lately (getting into the mood for summer) and when you see people jumping of walls (like zoo vid 22) you quite often notice the rider bouncing after he lands, like a bunny hop.

why do people do this is it the bike or just relaxing or something obvious i dont see ? :P

It's usually a little correction hop, to get balance back.  Seems to me like almost everyone does them to some degree.

I always do it after fairly large drops; It's just my body springing back up after being compressed, and so, the bike comes up with me. It's also to gain a bit of balance if you've landed slightly wrong, as shaun pointed out. :P

when i do thewm its never for correction, its like a small celebration !

a less common one which i find hard to not do,, is a very fats 180 endo after ANY move when imn riding natural,, i dont know why,, but i just do it,, for fun cos i happy about whay i just achieved,,

but it can be annoyin wen u fall off celebrating and kida ruin the move,, prob why the mini bounce is more popular (cant go wrong

lol

Yeah, I've got into the habit of doing them, not really sure why though.

Hahaha. I'm exactly the same. (Y)

I have no idea why i do it, as im perfectly straight as it is. I also have developed this thing where i will lean right back over the back wheel, slip back my hand on the handlebar so im just on my finger tips, turn left like this, then sit on the top tube. (Y)

No idea why, just do. Trials riders rock.
