hay guys it came to the point of bye bye frame so i had to strip her

came to the last bitz le cranks

wal la :S"

the threds striped in the cranks :P so i tryed everthing battering them etc them heated them asked a mechince and he used a engine pully machine :P didnt work thou (Y) so i rang select bikes and they said get em off when any means nesscary :D

I reverse puller would have done the job too (Y)

But once the threads are stripped you mite as well bin the cranks anyway unless you want all that hastle again next time you take them off.

I had this trouble with my Musclemans. Nothing worked except (in the last case, an angle grinder) riding without a crank bolt. Didn't even round the tapers even 'cos it just plopped off instead of getting silly loose...

You can get an extractor tool with 3 arms on which will wrap arund the cranks, then you screw the middle bit into the bottom backet and pull it out that way, bit I didn't suggest  this on the phone as I doubted you had one.

I have one of them, but getting it to grip the crank arm with all 3 arms of the tool is not easy, and it often slips when you start to screw the middle bit in... (Y)

no the threds had gone anywaz so i rang up and made sure it was ok to get them off like this and he said ok they were runied so i had to get them off quick aswell they have been sent off and imw aiting my new ones ;)
