downhill_rob2@hotmail.com
Help me please, Right, tonight my bottom bracket was loose, so I got my crank extractor and screwed it in the crank arm, then when it got tight, i started to screw the other part in (the bit that pushes onto the bottom bracket to pull the crank off) and when it got tight, it puled the crank tool out of the crank and pulled all the threads out with it!! so i have no threads to screw my crank tool into!! I have a spare drive side crank, but the thing is, I cant get my other crank off to get this one on!! ARGH!!! iv tryed everything, from hammering, the singing to it to see if it will come off!!! Please help me!!
Apollo13
Hey, When i had the same problem as you, i got my blow torch and heated the crank arm up near the bottom bracket, so it made it expand, then it just came off so easy. Try it. Thanks Nick (Y)
AdamR28
1. Boil kettle 2. Grab maller/block of wood and hammer 3. Pour boiling water over end of crank arm 4. Bash crank arm from the back with the aforementioned heavy object 5. Singing Kylie songs while performing the above tasks has also been found to help progress of cranks from BB axles
