Joe Papasnap Maher
Basically, I sweat like a mother trucker. Sun or rain, weather doesn’t matter, as soon as I been on my bike 5 minutes, ill be sweating real bad...i'm not out of breath or anything...just sweat... So is it that I drink too much.... or is it just that when I get to a certain stage my body gives up and decides to sweat. Basically. What I want to know is. If I started to work out...i.e. go gym or whatever and make myself abet fitter...would this mean that when i’m on the bike, I wouldn’t sweat as much...or I wouldn’t sweat for a longer time before me starting to sweat.. I’ve just had enough. I would'nt post this if it was a little amount, I seriously sweat, and it just runs off me like a tap: huh: So what can I do...or do I have to just let nature take it course
ScotchDave
Start running, and if you have a high metabolism eat less. I think.

munkee
i thought sweating showed your fitter than someone who doesnt? Like the more you sweat the fitter you are.. but maybe not i guesse.. sweating is just to cool you down anyway. Unless your a chubber who likes his food and sitting to watch the tv. spunkey_monkey_boy
sweating has nothing to do with your fitness for the likes of us (non obese mother f***ers) theres really not a huge amount you can do about it other than think about what your wearing to help the sweat get off you as quickly as possible... stay away from synthetic fibres because they stink when sweated in and stay away from cotton because it'll just soak the sweat up and make you all damp, your best bet is probably one of these, it'll keep you feeling fine all day no matter how much you sweat... thats about all i can suggest, definately do not cut down how much you drink because you'll still sweat until you run out of fluid to sweat out and then you'll probably colapse from de hydration... hope that helps tom
tipsy Jock
I thought the fitter you are then the less your body sweats? Could be wrong am only an arts student after all lol Pete Edited May 3, 2005 by tipsy Jock

Could be wrong am only an arts student after all lol Pete ← its not that clean cut i'm afraid, some people will sweat like peado's in a playground no matter how fit they are where as some other lazy f**kers hardly sweat at all, its very much a person to person thing... JT!
Well as we all know we swat when our bodys get too hot, and getting fitter isn't going to stop your body from getting hot. The only type of things you can do is shave your head, wear less cloths, that type of stuff. Some people need to sweat more than others just have to put up with it. There are people out there who can't sweat at all, it's a medical condition, be lucky you arn't like that! Wouldn't be rinding in summer. Ali C
I am the opposite, it takes a lot for me to sweat, and then its only on my forhead. I see people with soaked t-shirts, I have never had that happen, I didnt realise people actually sweated that much!
Spikenipple
My hands sweat alot pretty much all of the time, it's so bloody annoying! It doesn't help that my grips are shite and my hands slip off when sweaty and doing a rotation-orientated move (Y)
Bluegrass
Sure for men Active Sport stick, or something like that, cant remember name as i threw out my stick thismorning. All other deodorants don't work on me but this one really is unbeatable. Locks out sweat amazingly well, so ive found anyway. But, it does put huge white marks on dark clothes. I know it may sound a little too simple to just change your deodorant, but i personally am allergic to some brands (e.g. Adidas) which brought in rashes and immense sweating etc. Give it a try and change your deodorant? Trebor
I sweat like a beast as well, I walk up to college which is about 15 minutes walk, get into the common room, which is quite cool (temperature wise) and I get a nice layer of sweat on my face, it reeeeeaaaaaaaally sucks (Y) I just try to look on the bright of it, it's better out than in I say :P Just wondering, sweat's salt, urea and water isn't it? Would explain why I tend to get cramp pretty easily when out on rides (lack of salt) . . . .
Sam Nichols
Just thought I'd confirm that the stuff my mummy bought from the chemist works! ;) Top banana. picki
you could always go for some botox sessions....tiz a tad £££ though! it paralyses the sweat glands so they dont er....sweat? hey presto no patches....however if you dont sweat, you heat up more, so in theory could cook yourself? its worse when sweat gets in your eyes, especially if you cram you helmut on and you wear some for of gel.....stingy stingy ;)
