Smo™
I did a search and couldn't find anything about these being posted before so here goes. I found a company called Black Eight, based somewhere in Asia (I think) who are releasing new rims, as well as cranks, handelbars, hubs, stems and the like in the near future. You can find their products at the link below (only rims on there as f yet): http://www.b8parts.com/products/ So far the only colours they offer are Red, Blue, Silver, Gold and Black. The rims are double walled, metal used isn't specified.
D-L-B
From what I can see, they look very similar to the Try-All/Viz/Whatever rims. Ah, the illusion of choice, when the path is allready chosen for you. Dan
Waynio
same factory and same rims as the Viz and other rims  :) just another name to get confused with if you ask me. too many people trying to dabble in the same market, i dont know why people just dont design their own and make them different in some way or shape. then it would be worth buying different rims/bars/stems etc etc. Waynio............................ only my opinion though. Luke Drewery
Just another cheese rim copy, whats the point in copying parts from other companies as people will probably just buy off the original creator, unless the 'copy' companies parts are cheaper. Nice to them for trying though
munkee
Couldnt be arsed to leave what i put.. as long as its got blue... they will sell to someone... Also sam your avatar is so wrong Edited May 3, 2005 by Spacemunkee
trialsking 55
i saw these on otn a while ago. they're just try-all/viz ones (Y)
Nick Garland
At the moment, Echo/Zoo/GU (all dengs companies) seem to be the ones with original ideas. The Control, Hi-HI, the new GU frame, the modifications to the Zoo Pitbull and the Python was a new creation. They done have the same 47mm cheese rims they chose their new laser cut ones which I love. Copying other companies wont really help sales, if they want to sell stuff they need to be original. Even if the idea is roughly the same say a 375mm chainstay on 1090 wb bike with 20mm plus BB, so long as it looks different people will buy it even if its the same as another product with exactly the same geo. Tartridge
Well spotted Le Simon. Appears they've come from the same die though, just had the spoke holes drilled in a slightly different place.

bluecatracingcat
Not just a copy or a re-branded Try all. They have eyelets and a rounder profile. I have no idea if the alloy is harder wearing than others on the market. As for designs I don't think you can go too wrong with a wide double walled eyeleted rim with big holes drilled in it. not too expensive to produce. The only other thing I'd do if I was designing them is make them deeper so the have a biger braking surface and more resistance to flat spotting. Saying that if they are made out of harder alloy... As they say on here... meh.... Oh yeah and the new Black 8 back rim is 42mm wide so it'll fit in my pashley better... cool I'll get one when the time comes.... do you think they'll do lime green ano?
