Whiteboy
ok well its nearly new tyre time and well i wnat something diffrent. im looking for a rear tyre that has a nice bounce to it would like it to have good puncture protection but i really want a tyre that is going to last. so not really looking for st or sr tyres really. any one suggest any? then for the front again looking for a bouncy tyre but this time puncture protection does not amatter (as hopefully will be runing tubeless) so what is there? also the lighter the better. thanks... tom

But you could try something like a Hutch Octopus with a DH tube.
Whiteboy
ok well at the mo im thinking maxxis minion in the hardest compound for rear... but for the front im not sure
Ali C
how about making the rear tubless too? then you dont have to worry about puncture protection and have a bouncier tyre. PS I reccomend Kendas stick-E range, I have had mine about 4 months ish and they still have loads of tread left, they even do a dual compund if you want them to last longer. They also do super light front tyres too.
Whiteboy
where can you get the kendas from?
Tartridge
I hear Google.com has a vast range of Kenda tyres.
CurtisRider
I hear Google.com has a vast range of Kenda tyres. ← lol they are hefty gits, but an intense blurr is a very hardcore tyre that will never pinch however low you run it...well im pretty harsh at the ebst of times anyway o and ive had mine a year and its still like new, even after being ridden low on the road for a few miles :) tis good
Tomm
I pinched an Intense. From what I can remember, quite a lot. I think my Maxxis is a bit better for pinches. But then I'm a rough 'tard with a penchant for running really low pressures
guineasmithpig
do ur research on kenda tyres first. i have a 2.35 Nevegal (Stick-E) and the carcass is quite stiff. so, i started lowerin the pressure to where it feels nice and a bit bouncy. next thing u know, 'BONG'. its rimmin out like a b@st@rd on certain hits. btw, i had a 2.5 minion (Super Tacky) which was everythin u could want from a tyre, and lasted over 8 months!!! super grippy, i used to run sub-20psi, never pinched the thing (in 8 months!) and i only ride street, and used to ride at least 4 miles to all the riding spots 'local'. that'll be my next tyre again. i would recommend tryin kendas also, but their are a few dogs around from what i gather, so find out EXACTLY which tyres use which carcasses. my cousin bought some kinetics a while back, and the sidewalls were literally like paper! try rob poyzer (onzabob?) because he runs em now. smithy
Luke Drewery
There are so many different tyres, but my choice would probably be a michelin comp 24 (good in summer) or a harder compound maxxis, they both have good grip and puncture protection as well as lasting too
monkey_pork
What the hell, I'll throw into this one too - I'm now using a Specialized Roller RS 2.3 on the back. It'll run reasonably low pressures, not super low though', but I like how it feels - on [wet] natural yesterday it felt like it had lots of grip. I'm running a pair on my 'other' bike and they feel really grippy, especially on tarmac - (thats grippy as in 'hard to pedal' type grippy) I can't see them lasting too long though' - but I can't see how you'd get life and grip ... 2.3 may not sound much, but it came out bigger than the 2.5 Onza that it replaced, and almost didn't fit my T-Rex. Just a thought ...
Mr Motivator
lol they are hefty gits, but an intense blurr is a very hardcore tyre that will never pinch however low you run it...well im pretty harsh at the ebst of times anyway o and ive had mine a year and its still like new, even after being ridden low on the road for a few miles :P tis good (Y) ← Rich (Harshrider) pinched his a fair few times with a dh tube :P
SQuiT-man
The bounciest stock tyre I ever run by far was an Intense mud tyre, which was surprisingly grippy, and very fun to ride! It was however pretty damn heavy, something like nearly 1.2kg? I never got a pinch on it either. I would at least check out intense tyres, I found them the most fun to ride.
