butcha87
Would you say that there is a trend in the clothing style of bmx/trials riders?
Tomm
BMX yes, definitely. But I don't think trials is mainstream enough to have its own style. Most people just wear what they are comfortable in >_<
trials_pimp
I wouldnt say so. ive seen everything from goths, to absoute townies riding trials, and properly. Trials should stay as it is, not fashonable. Those who want to ride, ride, and ride in what they want. If our doing this for the fashion, quit now, because your a tool....... SamHolmes
I dont think trials has its own clothing trends yet :S I dont really care, I just wear what I feel comfortable in
TomN
I'd say a pair of jeans or trackies, t-shirt/hoody and some skate shoes i say mostly. But yer I seen people wear other stuff.
Dr. Nick Riviera
but trials has set other trends , for example being ginger and having the name martin :S" but i think its a good thing that trials isnt in too much of the mainstream media or it wouldnt be long before you saw ashton on a frosties advert
rich4130
but trials has set other trends , for example being ginger and having the name martin :S" ← True hehe. But I didnt have much choice about my hair colour, or my name, and my parents didn't know in 15 years time icle richy would ride trials and need to be called martin etc.

Endohopper
I reckon that our sport is practiced by such a wide variety of people that there is no "Trials Style ." As long as clothing permits athletic movement , and allows heat to escape it'll be in use . The U.K scene , specifically streety riding tends towards a baggy "skatey "look . It all suits me fine , as long as we never forget the horrors of skin tight lycra :S . Let us learn from history .
James_Porter
i tell you what, there is a bloody competition in what people wear within trials. round here its who wears the cheapest jeans. steve a from worcester and i are winning with our £4 tesco jeans  would like to see people beat that, muhahahahahaha. engage clothin is pretty fasionable now :S"
Mark W
Am I the only one who finds the "Must wear the tightest jeans I can possibly shoe-horn my skinny, emo faggot self into" trend in BMX amazingly funny/stupid? I love riding Newport skatepark almost solely to see all the fashion victim BMXers there parading about like some retarded peacocks in their most fashionable clothing (ultra, ultra tight jeans and stripey T-shirts are in, so sayeth the Newport fashion weathervane), with their most fashionable viewpoints, and their most fashionably set-up bikes. As if it f**king matters. All work and no play (plus no sleep) make Mark an angry boy.
CalopS
Thats why i love all us trialsers. There isnt a trend of clothing for us  Say no to EMO :S Im sick of going to the play house in leeds and seeing emo girls with skate boreds just sat down doing nowt but looking at emo guys and they only have the skate board to look cool grrrrr Anyways.... Yer most people in trials seem to just wear what they usually wear or is comfy

Yer most people in trials seem to just wear what they usually wear or is comfy  ← At least they aren't at the ultra^1000 low level of fruit-booters. Jesus H. Christ, I don't actually see how they can get any speed, since the friction caused by their faces hitting the floor as they hang their heads in shame should, in theory, cause them to just lose speed constantly. Saying that, bees can fly and they shouldn't be able to, so there we go. I just love watching the X-Games "Aggressive Inline Skate Park Final" (read: fags in wheelie boots doing pointless shit) just to see how low they've managed to run their trousers this year. One stupid Canadian f**ktard pretty much needed to run two belts, one for each leg, because of how low he was running his uber baggy Fubu jeans. Fortunately, his uber baggy basketball jersey thing managed to cover most of his arse that was totally hanging out of the top of his trou', so it wasn't too much of a catastrophe. Fortunately, from what I can remember from that comp, the guy who won was actually fairly 'normally' dressed...

Dai the Socket
but hay id say nearly all % of trials riders hate the living hell out of Chav's so most of alll trials riders have the same kind of music in common! soo we kind of emo if you think about it ← I think someone doesn't understand the word 'emo' at all. Emo stands for Emotional Rock (music). Some losers have made a stereotypical 'emo' look which is usually tight jeans, black tees, black hair (natural or not..) and a side parting or whatever. Some people like it. Yeah that's cool. I do wear some black tee's, like my MCR one. It's really cool, i love it. But people who wear them just 'to be cool', or 'be an emo', they're just losers. They try way too hard to be in the 'in crowd' or whatever. Just be yourself and don't follow anyone's trend unless you think that a teeshirt's cool or whatever. Just because some type of people, weather it be bikers or gig go'ers or whatever, wear some style of clothing. Doesn't mean you have to. Nadine. You seem to have totally lost the point here. The term Emo has been labelled to people who like a type of music. I very much doubt it that 2 people, Riders, have IDENTICAL views and choices on music. That'd mean they're identically the same person. Therefore. No. Bikers aren't like " emo's " at all. Nick. Edit: Also, you can't see an Emo. You see an Emo kid. 'An emo' doesn't exit. It's a small figment of your stupid imaginations (Y) Edited May 2, 2005 by mod661

RicH_87
yeh, i totally set the trend for all the people around me because i ride trials. When i go to school everyone is always checking out what i'm wearing so they can go buy it. And i often hear people saying they are 'going shopping for the latest trials gear' on the weekend. (sarcasm^) as-if people actually go out shopping for a cetain look just because it goes with a cool sport. I doubt people go to the shop and buy 'skate' wear so that people think they can skate. It's just that their taste of clothing is labeled at 'skate' clothing. (f1 fans don't walk around in overalls and a helmet so people think they are a racing driver do they)
