I can't see it looking too bad when I'm older, and if it does, f**k it. You only live once. I always used to think (when I was a kid) that getting a tattoo was stupid. I mean, you get it done and it looks Ok, but you're stuck with it for the rest of your life. But you begin to realise that life is pretty short, and if you don't live for your teen years/ your twenties, when are you gonna live? The only thing that stops me is that a chain isn't particularly original - I'd like mine to be very personal - something that no one else will have. But that might not be possible. It may sound gay but were the best of mates, and that way whenever we look at it when were old and dont keep contact then well think about each other. Were on about having like a skull and crossbones done with flames around the outline, just a small one. I think a bike chain is a sweet idea too ill probably have one of those done on my lower leg...
