Dai the Socket
You can drive when you are 16 if you have a previsional license but only if you have an adult ,with a license, in the car at the same time. I know this because my dad does a part time job as a driving instructor and he realy doesnt like the new rule but... Hope that helps Tom ← If i'm learning, with my mum in the car, and it's my mum's car, do I need to be insured on it? Yeah? Wouldn't I be rejected insurance when I give them my date of birth? sfboy
Right, Firstly you must be 17 (or 16 with a disabilty) to legally drive a car on the public highway in the uk. check it http://www.dvla.gov.uk/drivers/vehicle_cat_desc.htm secondly the driver i.e the person at the wheel must be insured to drive the vehicle, unless it's one of those company cars or vehicles on a blanket insurance scheme.
