Tom Booth
Evening boys and girls, Im just thinking of a new stem. I will soon be buying a t-rex frame and want a bike with quite alot of reach due To my height(6 4"). The stem must be of normal clamp size(25.4) , And used with flat bars (onza t-raptor bars). i was thinking something along the lines of 110mm x 10 degree rise would be about right and a nice compomise between getting it on the back wheel and length. Any info would be VERY greatfully recieved, Tom Edited April 20, 2005 by Tom Booth
chrishayton
If you want 25.4 get a try all stem from bikedock or cleanbikes. for size 110 x 15 is a good size for a long bike in my opinion. Don't think they make one with 10 degree rise. You could also try the new Hope stem, they will have the size you want :D
Waynio
if you aint bothered bout trying to bunnyhop it use a 120? with 10degrees? which would probably give you a better reach with you being 6ft4. or go a bit shorter and it may make it flik about faster like a 90 x 10degrees. Waynio........................ you'd be best with something on the lines as the guy above has said try-all, or maybe an Easton EA50 the new forged 2bolt ones are nice and very light too. FSA do a very nice one thats £20!!!!

Tom Booth
(didn't see the point in a new topic) Anybody used a DMR 120*7 and TRY all bars? or used a 120x7-9 with tryall bars? Input on what it feels like would be great thanks. Cheers Tom
Janson
Anything more than 110mm and under 15 degrees rise. I'm 5'8", riding a Coust, with 90 mm x 7 degrees stem, feels good.
Nick Garland
What about a Hope CNC XC stem, range of colours like someone said and comes in: 110 x 0deg 110 x 10deg 90 x 0deg 90 x 10deg I am thinking about a 110x10 as I think thats a normalish stem for trials.
