fifty pence
Cheers mate, that is definently one of the best frames that i have seen of late. it looks so low and will look awesome when it is built, come on wanna see this baby rollin :-
Boothy
The prototype stock frame is georgous, think i prefer that to the super sexy pitbull!
CanaDarren
Very nice looking bike! Are those 165mm Tensile cranks?
JT!
How can a 113mm BB be used on the mod frame. The stays are the same width. Just lover down. (Y)
STEVE-0
I just relised that the chainstays stick out enough to lean on them with the bash, lol. Weird! Its so gonna break. I agree that it would be an alot nicer bike without the weird chainstays. For what they do its not worth it. WEIGHT DISADVANTAGE!!
benno
The new stock design looks cool, but have the brake mount threads as part of the frame would seem like a nasty way to kill a frame if you stripped one (Y) Just to check everyone does get that whole point of that chainstay where it is means you don't have to run the chain round it and can therefore have a LOT more freedom with geometry of stays and bb area? It seems that some people have failed to grasp this major upside in my opinion. Ben (Y)
011001000110010101110010
Innovation! Love it! Its nice to see people trying new things. Looks really beffy, lets see how it holds out.

BikeDotStuffAtOnzaDotCom
Is there a reason why the front (sloping) bit of the chainstays doesn't follow the same plane as the downtube? I would have thought it would make more sense to put it in a straight line? Meh, I'm no engineer (Y) Your wish is our command. Well, sometimes. I'm just wondering if I can put a photo in the description part of a link instead of words, so here goes... EDIT: It works. Live and learn. This and the stock proto will be what they're riding in Manchester tomorrow. Edited June 10, 2005 by BikeDotStuffAtOnzaDotCom
Tomm
Your wish is our command. Well, sometimes. Do I get some of the profits then? RicH_87
what's this all about then mr.onza? (Y)
Mike Poyzer @ Onza
Unfortunately that modification was already on the drawing board before you mentioned it ,Tomm. It was the my first reaction when the original prototype arrived. Other mods had to be made to accomodate that change but I am sure you will all agree that it is somewhat sleeker now So in short ,no. Lee_Buchanan
what's this all about then mr.onza? Looks to me like a python copy... (Y) Edited June 13, 2005 by Lee_Buchanan
RicH_87
Looks to me like a python copy... (Y) ← yeh but the dude who posted it said it was gonna be sold under the name Zona (check trials nation) i don't mind if it's a 'copy' just means better frames for cheaper people. having said that, i BET onza can't copy the new echo team with the cnc headtube " go on i dare you. (this is nothing to do with the fact i want one but ain't paying £400 for it)

This and the stock proto will be what they're riding in Manchester tomorrow. ← That's pretty damn foxy, in fairness. I'm guessing there will be the same drop-out-mounted chain tensioning system? Just that they weren't in place there? Any word on the geometry? (Y)
BikeDotStuffAtOnzaDotCom
For riding or just for watching? That depends on how well you know Danny or Ben. Take a tape measure and you can answer Mark's question, because I didn't measure anything or weigh anything (a bit lax, I know; maybe next time) Any word on the geometry? (Y)
Mark W
No problem (Y) Are the low-slung stays likely to stay on for the production model, assuming there's going to be one? I didn't really get if they were just like an exercise in manufacturing like that terminator bike before, or if they're actually gonna be viable in the end?
Mike Poyzer @ Onza
The low slung stays are integral to the design and will stay. (subject to testing) We already have designs for bolt on stay protectors to extend the specially designed bash plate. This will be for added protection on street usage. Throw away stay protectors should dramatically improve the life span of the frame for hard core street riders. And yes it is the same dropout mounted chain tensioner system which according to Ben worked absolutely superbly on the first prototype. And if it's stronger too then everyone's a winner. I might have to try and make that demo tomorrow...
