Tartridge
Let's face it, 99% of sigs will be rubbish, and even the 1% that look good, only look good the first time you see them, after that they're annoying. So it's a definite "No" from me. ←
munkee
Some peoples sigs already look huge as it is! Maybe let the new members have them... anything to let their pages load slower so they cant be arsed to post pointless shite. On another note.. i've had to edit every post ive made for the past day since i seem to randomly miss out words... spunkey_monkey_boy
it tends to be noobie forums, like car modders etc where they go for full on photo sized pics in their sigs which agreed, looks retarded. If done tastefully they can look very nice, Heres a sample from were-over-there.net see what i mean? Im for sigs! Just small ones. ← sorry mate but if everyone had one of those at the bottom of their post i'd want to hack into the forum and bomb the place, it'd get on my tits no end and personally i think they look fine for about 10 second then i'd get pissed off with having to look at them. with sig's i hate the way some people have things in their sig which is like 'look how great i am' it makes them seem such cocks. the only sigs i like/don't mind are informative ones or funny ones like onzaboymarks, his is pure genius and cracks me up, and ones like Xdreams that let you know he's the man to talk to about the DJ series. otherwise get that shit out of your sig... (saying that i'm off to edit mine
pinky
I think we should be allowed bigger avatars but not sigs
Danny
If you really want to post a bigger picture why not just use the personal photo part of your profile?
trials_pimp
OK, the picture signature motif seems to have a rather large amount of people against it. there are some valid reasone why we shouldnt have them. I can agree they look messy, and can be a hinderance, but they can look good, and show what peoples talents in other feilds are. I like the idea of bigger avatars. To me this is the 1/2 way point. Lets you do a bit more than an avatar (and lets face it, you cant do alot in there becasue of size restrictions, both in file size, and phisical size) But keeps the forum that little bit cleaner and faster. Janson
pics in sigs suck. but a 120x240 avatar wouldn't be bad.

br3n
I just don't really see what that adds to the posts or anything though  I mean the one of the guy flippin' the bird's just not really saying anything, is it? It's just a picture for the sake of a picture... Meh, probably just don't get it (Y)\ actually thats him, small community... we all know. N.Wood
But that would just add fuel to the fire that senior member's are too elitist. I think a lot of people have this feeling already, and giving only them the option for images is a bit harsh. I agree with most people that images in sigs shouldn't be allowed. It just takes up too much space on the screen, and is extreemly distracting. However, having slightly larger avatars could be considered? Not too big mind, but just large enough so you can see a bit more detail. ← Good point (Y) I've never thought of it like that, actually i've never thought the whole SM thing is elitest, but then i can see how it could be percieved to be... Bigger Avatar size is good idea. Though, as i said before, i wouldn't care if all the avatars fell off the face of the earth and never returned. biketrialler
Well said that man (Y) Tom ← Im not trying to pick out on you but its just a good example that i saw just as I was getting to the end of the topic about to post... But its a bit hypocritical that you think pictures in sigs would be annoying when theres crap like Worcester Riders!!!! In your own signature... thats a load of rubbish that I dont care for but I just scroll past. Id like to have a pic in my sig as its fun making them and adds a far more personal touch for a budding photographer and graphics artist than a few lines of msn conversation could ever say. "A picture is a thousand words". So yeah thats my opinion, im all for it :( Only small mind. All the people saying it would suck can easily turn them off in the my control section - why shouldnt those that want to have the option to put stuff there... Bucky
I cant stand the things. All the other forums i go on have them and are really slow and annoying when it comes to opening topics. no need at all.
Tim
I Agree with Bennifer, some people have msn quotes some times more then one. These are just as annoying as having an image if not some times more so. The fact people can turn off signatures in control panel means its nether here or there weather they are allowed since people on 56k or who think there shit can turn them off. simple as that. Although if they where animated gif's THAT would be annoying.

frika
I think signature pictures should be allowed as long as they strictly stick to a size limit (not massive!) and each user can select if they want them displayed or not. Here's my signature for a car forum I go on, I think it's the right size I HATE forums full off massive signatures, annoys me!

Mark W
Also you say we can just turn off the signatures, well we might prefer having the signatures that are on there already with the text and the fact it has peoples e-mails in, links to websites (although there not supposed to advertise links i dont think :) ) and we just generally might prefer reading the random funny crap in peopls signatures ← Exactly :)
trials_pimp
Yes, but who says everyone would have to have a picture there? You could easily put wrting there instead. But the writing sigs get a bit boring, as they are either an e-mail add, website link, or some stupid msn convo/saying that someone has heard. Pictures are lot more personal. No one is forcing you to take notice of them, or even have them turned on, like the current sigs, im sure most people just ignore them. But there are a few people on here that would snjoy seeing picture sigs, and showing others what they are capable of. You say use the ava, but you can really do anything there. Too small, and too much of a limit on file size. I couldnt even put a simple gif as mine.
