Jonno
Howdy People, Basically iv bin a bit on and off with trials recently (the last 2 months mabie more), im finding it very hard to find the time to go out on the bike at the moment with work, GF, college and various other things, and the time i do have my mates spare time always manages to conflict with the free time i have, so we seldom have time to ride together anymore which takes the 'shine' off riding for me, i also just seem to be plain loosing enthusiasm (sp?) and generally can never be bothered to ride when the chance arrises, i want to ride, but just lack the energy so never do, iv come close to selling the bike a number of times now, its really hard to explain but basically my question to you is what would you do in my shoes? quit or stick at it? cheers in advance Jonno.......... ScotchDave
Keep bike, if you seel it you'll just have to buy another in the summer. (Y)" :)
Trebor
Keep the bike, if you've been doing ok for the past couple of months without riding it and without needing to sell it, just keep it and I'm sure you'll eventually find the time for it (Y)
Caleb
Its like most things, when you quit your job you realise you dont have any regular income anymore and although you can get wasted every friday it doesnt seem as giood as you would think it would be when your working and then you kinda of regret. It would be the same youd see lines and gaps etc you would want to try then never have the chance. Why not have a break theres no reason you actually have to sell your bike is there? Carl
I'd say keep bike you can't be botherd now, but when time comes your going to love it riding your bike again. Carl (Y)
Corish
I'd say keep bike you can't be botherd now, but when time comes your going to love it riding your bike again. Carl (Y) ← Good point, but think that its more understandable in my words: Although you might not like it now, you might want an urge to ride one day, you may see a video that will want you to go out and ride, when I think of my trials past I think wow, why don;t it feel as good, but really in about another year I will be thinking the same about the year before, hard to explain what I mean by that, but if you keep your bike and get that urge at least you can do it! corish
Max Quinn
If you really wanted to quit i don't think you'd be asking this question in a forum full of trials riders. (Y) Stick at it! Max

JT!
Keep the bike and just ride when you want to, you have a choice if you keep it, but if your sell it, you can't ride full stop.

JonMack
Keep the bike, I wish I had kept mine, I sold it in the summer and there have been times when I've been bored at home and just wish I could have gone out and f**ked around on my bike for a while. Bucky
when u pass your test you will have a hell of a lot more time to go riding.
Littleharrys
Hold onto the bike, I kinda stopped riding for a year, but now back into it more than ever. So glad I held on to it. Harry
Andy Vox
Dedicate a day to riding, get up watch loads of trials films, i suggest zoo videos, ryan leech, matt staples for a few then go out. Try something new, ride differently. Dont do what u usually do, try not using ur bash or gapping to front wheel on stuff. Or simply learn a new technique. If you do sell your bike, u will regret it. Riding will remain a part of you, i can't see myself ever quiting 100% because the way it makes me feel. Going out having a laugh with your mates and learning something new. Go out and be different, ride different and realise the love! (Y)
Jonno
alot of the time i am on my bike i dont enjoy generally the ride as i feel i am slowly stopping riding and things take time for me to do, ← Thats it exactly!

Bike! - Van - Girl.................. even better Bike - Girl - Van (or ride a XC bike(Y)) you just need to wait til you have passed your test cos you live literally on mount everest..........its a fair way to get to any where.i never look at my bike and think shit cant be arsed thats it i quit i always look and think what can i get upto today. Be positive and you will feel positive about trials and riding.......... Waynio........................
BI-KING
Just go on a ride one day and you will soon feel the urge to ride again, I have felt like giving up and selling up many times before. Then I have had a break from riding but I could not stop! I went out and rode with mates and it just reminds me of what it used to feel like (Y) You get that really good feeling and you ride better :) Trust me, get together with some mates and go and ride, you wont want to sell up then :)"
Jonno
Just go on a ride one day and you will soon feel the urge to ride again, Trust me, get together with some mates and go and ride, you wont want to sell up then " ← Thats just it, iv tried that more than once and all i do is end up sat on my bike getting bored, its bin like that the past load of rides iv turned up to, i just get really bored really fast, i dont understand it, but even when i watch trials vids, now and again il get the urge to go ride so i will and the same happens, within 5 mins of going out im bored, but thats only if i actually get the urge to ride, 9 times out of 10 i watch a trials vid and it dosent give me the urge to go out riding at all.. Cheers for the replies so far Jonno
