Gandalf the Yellow
0kay i got my new wheel today (woohoo) but i don;t know if my old 2.5 dual ply minions would fit easy into my D521's (or EX721)whatever you prefer.... EDIT: would they fit at all (Y) steve Edited April 18, 2005 by StinkEE
AdamR28
Yep, of course! You may notice quite a lot of tyre roll/fold with low pressure though. Adam
Brisa
Yea they'll fit no problem but you may have to run slightly higher pressure to avoid tyre fold. Edit: Damn you (Y) Edited April 18, 2005 by Brisa
Fishwog
Obviously they would fit, but it wouldn't provide a very goods tyre profile.... Also you would have to run higher pressure's to avoid muchos tyre foldage (Y) Edit: bastards!! In like 15 seconds two people beat me to it :) Edited April 18, 2005 by Fishwog

Brisa
Maxxis are quite stiff tyres. I ran a michelin comp 24 2.5 on a 521 for ages at low pressure and never experianced tyre fold. Give the 2.5 a try first, as I personally believe minions have a nicer tread pattern than high rollers.
tank_rider
i ran a 2.5 minion dual ply on a 521, at about 20psi i didnt get much fold riding street, i guess natural may have been a different story though
HarshRider
it depends how you ride! as i found with my d521/2.5 high roller i had! cause when i gapped i sorta fliped the bike to one side as i landed! if you get what i mean (Y) so you land atr an angle! so i went down to the 2.35! :) that was with single ply though! i would personally say go for the 2.35 high rollers!
