Stephen Morris
Right, I haven't ridden in over 3 months. My bike's in a bit of a bad way, and university is incredibly busy at this time of year. But as it happens, I'm making a Trials magazine for a university project, so I need to get out and about on rides to take photos. To cut the crap, can you helpful bunch help me out with the following questions? Where can I get a 2004 silver, rear Magura HS33? I haven't used the 2005 ones yet, but I'm not sure I'll get on with the lever that much, did anybody else think the same thing but change their mind later? Where can I find a metallic black TSG helmet? Just before each summer I buy one, and 12 months later I forget where I got it from... and no Bike Dock don't sell the one I'm after. Spokage... I'm after 32 black spokes for a rear Mavic EX721 to run with a Chris King - any recommendations? They'll need to be fairly strong, but I'm smoothish, so I wont be needing any ridiculously strong spokes. Thanks for the help, Stephen. That's a front brake 3. The spreadsheet's helpful, but they don't do any rims to fit my frame. Thanks though :(

STEVE-0
Yes of course Stephen. If you had bought MBUK it would have made thing alot easier. 2004 magura: loads of places but super cycles is the first one ive found. (Gold limted edition). I dont like the new levers either and although i havent got one myself ive heard alot people prefere the old levers. TSG helmet: Couldn't find any. Google it! Not too percific. Spokes: Bloody anywhere. Search yourself, it is your project. I would just buy a copy of MBUK and search the forum then use that information in my own mag. SIMPLE :(
Stephen Morris
Believe it or not I am aware of the search function. I searched but didn't find anything. As for it being my project, by that logic there'd be a lot less posts on the forum. I haven't bought MBUK for a few years now because it's crap, but I'll browse a copy at work if I can't find everything. Thanks for your help. N.Wood
Stephen, speak to Adam (Tart) about the spokes, the size you want will be available from CRC. You just need to work out/get told the length. Adam is your man. Magura wise...The best thing to do is just have a look around the big companies (CRC, Bikedock, Tartybikes, Select bikes, Wiggle etc. etc.) and see what they can offer. It seems as though they mostly stock the '05 versions now, so you might have to stick with one of those. If you can get hold of a Maggie ut it's the wrong colour, you could always strip it... Good luck! Woody.
James_Porter
i seem to recall phil telling my he (selectbikes.com) has a account with magura. but i dunno if he can get the 04 style levers. just get that one from crc and flip it over, what i am doing at the moment and it has been fine for ages. tank_rider
spoke lengths should be 250mm and 245mm acording to the spokecalc i have. I guess Tartybikes would have those in stock in sapim race spokes, which is what both my wheels are built with, and i have had no problems with them, and your a smoother rider than me. N.Wood
Does it make a difference if it's an ISO, Classic or Universal hub? It's for a Classic.
tank_rider
Does it make a difference if it's an ISO, Classic or Universal hub? It's for a Classic. ← classic shells have a smaller diameter non drive-side flange and so need longer spokes, i think the driveside ones are the same no matter what hub it is. T-Limburn
Where can I get a 2004 silver, rear Magura HS33? Thanks for the help, Stephen. ← well leverblades are about £15 from crc or cleanbikes a whole lever is about £35 from crc or the whole maggie is now £40!!! bargain. if only they were £40 when i bought my 05 rear brake... i never used to like the 05 design, however now i really like it. the only downpoint is that they 'pull' / snap in half, but (touch wood) everything is fine so far...
