Just A Thought

No worries man, bandwidth is already dead anyway

Looks like its all Coust to me, apart from seat stays and seat tube. Im pretty sure its the same factory. Same 7005 material. The weight would indicate the tubing is thicker, however.

Edit: And as Mark said, the 'long and low' thing is what has come out of ye olde Levelboss...

Er, basically, every frame "stands on the shoulders of giants", as it were.

The Levelboss design suited people properly well, so the "long and low" design took off. That's just being evolved, pretty much, so obviously Kot thought that that method of tube configuration worked.

It's pretty obvious when you think about it that it's going to have design cues from other frames; the CNC'd BB area makes sense, and but it's already been used I suppose. However, I'd rather had a frame that used the best bits from other frames than one that was shonky 'cos they didn't use 'em. That isn't having a go at you, by the way, it's just that the whole "long/low/silver" slaters doing their "That frame's a copy of ______" is getting a bit ridiculous, like calling the Cortina monstrosity similar to the Python because it didn't have a straight-up seat-tube

i agree with u mark, ur goin to get the best frame if u take off others.

i dont dislike long/low/silver bikes, even though mine is short and burgundy!

evolution, it how humans got to be what we are today, taking the best bits of our ancestors. blimey that was very darwinesque of me

what isnt copied these days....

companys come up with good ideas and some one will always steal it and copy it...

Piss poor if you ask me..

Lee

P.s Looks a oreet frame though

But the thing is is would you rather ride a frame with a not-as-good 'standard' BB section, or one with a blatantly stronger CNC'd one? Would you rather ride a bike with more stand-over height, or a really high top-tube 'cos everyone else does low-tubes? It's their own design, they've just used proven ideas to do it. I don't really see what the fuss is?

You lot do really make some weird comparisons to other bikes.

In my opinoin its definetly a copy of the BT aven 5.0 or maybe 4.0 in geometry.

There are alot deferent parts e.g. gussets etc but lots pretty much the same.

bt50leomwhite2mq.jpg

I like the seat gussets and the chainstays. Does anyone happen to own yet i wonder?

people rarely get paid to ride for a company... the only people i know who get paid are the martyn's and akrigg... and thats it !!! the only way to earn money from it is by doing demos

Exactly what Mark said - If its a good idea which people like it will catch on and there will be demand for it.

All these people saying, ''oh, long low and silver, how crap'' are just being stupid. i mean seriously, if they were all crap designs then people wouldn't use them. And thats why all the popular, well designed frames have been "copied" by other manufacturers. Its because they are good, and the design is what is progressing the sport.
