holroyd-wanna-be Posted April 15, 2005 Report Share Posted April 15, 2005 When i do a disc cleanup it comes uo with over 3gb of compressed files, i was told that if i compress them it will take longer for my computer to boot up? tank_rider Posted April 15, 2005 Report Share Posted April 15, 2005 if you are running out of hard disc space then compressing them is the only real option i guess its either that or going through and deleting all your old files. You may want to check your temp internet file settings if you have a small hard disc, also the system restore settings, as they take up a fair amount of room if they are set to default.
