Andy Vox
I was out riding on sunday and i hopped onto the loading bay but i must have tensed up when i landed and i have had a shooting pain in my arm and shoulder since. It hurts more when i turn my neck and move my arm. I could feel it pulling my shoulder ages ago but didn't think it wud get any worse but obviously it did. Ive done this to my neck before because i tensed while landing off a small drop. Has anyone else had problems like this before, its a pain because i wana ride really bad and im injured from not even falling off!! whats that about!! :o Just wondered if it was just me being wierd or if other people have experienced this too. Should be riding tomorrow though as its getting better :D but on monday i couldn't sit up in bed because it was so bad!!! :)

aust
i never stretch... and its never happened to me (touchwood it wont) i think some people are just more vunerable than others... so i suppose you can try stretching and see what it does for you.. Trials Tom
I always get trapped nerves in my upper chest, just goes 'ping' and feels like its got caught over my clavicle (collar bone) it feels tense, but after a while it just goes back into place again. Seems to be when I'm just walking along though, doesn't happen when I'm riding.

Andy Vox
Did some streching today as when i first got on my bike it felt stiff on the one shoulder but after a few hops and some streches i felt good. Went out riding and boy i felt so bouncy, like the koxx riders when they walk! lol :D Anyway had one of the best rides ever, did a rail gap id been looking at for a while and a gap from the back of a bench to a rail which i had been looking at for a while to. May just be psychological but streching a little really seemed to help. Didn't trap any nerves anyways! which is always a bonus!! :S Thanks guys. :)

robonatomz
you gotta go see a sports physio or sumat, i had a real bad pain in my neck and shoulder, could hardly ride, kept fallin off cuz of it. i went to see a physio only been once and it is way better, gotta go once more then its sorted, but there is vitually no pain now. its cost around 25 to 35 pound a time but if like mine its sorted in 2 visits, i think its well worth the money. allso it turns out that the problem is not from riding my bike, that just agrivates it. its because i have bad posture, i sit driving my van all day with my hand on the gear stick, on the dash. now they told me to stop it has been fine is it in the same arm you use the operate the mouse on the comp or somthing like that? rob
Andy Vox
Its my right arm and been as im right handed you can imagine what i use it for. :S But seriously it is the hand i use the mouse with and write with so thats probably got something to do with it. Its alot better now but if i have any problems ill c about going to a pysio, but my gf is doing pysio at uni next year so im sure i could get some free, personal appointments if you get me! haha :)
