CH!P
Ooo there not. Naa, it's gonna be done, don't worry. Tom ← You don't know how to set it up then :( Seriously though, make sure your pads are at a good angle, get some decent pads and a medium grind on your ronnie and your away (Y) I just really can't see the point in changing when all you have to do is that  Edited April 10, 2005 by CH!P
Jimbo Limbo (Trials Chimp)
Magura VS Vee argument mk34 on the way  CH!P theres no point telling him to go back to Magura's, he's obviously thought about his options and made his decision, this topic is for people who have vee's to give advice, you may be trying to help but you'll just start the whole magura/vee argument off again. I never knew Edd Potts made adapters, so I take back my comment earlier that no-one made any decent ones (Y)
Tod
I used to run a magura but it sounds like I had the same problems as you. When it was set-up it ran really nice, but with evolution adapters ***shudders*** even if the pistons slipped the smallest bit it took hours to re-align. Anyhow, Im back onto full vee brakes now after completely ripping the hosing out of both my hydraulics  I run; Avid SD7 arms rear XTR front XT levers Kool stop pads on the front for some modulation Spanish v-fly pads rear And Oddysey brake line all over I take a small bit of tar out with me incase it gets damp, but other than that both brakes work immense, the rear brake locks much easier than some of my mate's maggys but still offers plenty of modulation for manuals. Hope you get one running Tom

And believe me, i hate that argument too lol. Meh, good luck anyway
SebJT
SebJT: Are the adapters still working well? Vee brakes > Maguras. ← Yeh working fine  the steel spring holder thing under the canti mount is displaying a bit of surface rust, other than that all grand!! Cheers for them, served me well! You made any new ones? If you want to make more id be happy to give you some feed back on how i would improve my ones. Ch!P - i find with maguras you cant always get the pad to sit perfectly parallel to the rim, because of the whole sleeve thing, it gives like graduated adjustment while with a v pad the adjustment is infinite. With a v you can just undo the pads a bit, align them a bit then pull the lever then do them up, this makes the pads perfectly parallel. Boothy
Whats the best set up for a front V? Looking to spend about £30, and I like it to bite well and lock well for spins and front hops etc. but also like it to rub for rolling stoppies. Cheers .
