Pitbull_Rider
Hi all, I've got a gold colour scheme running on my bike at the moment and i use the gold hope skewers....but theyre crap. They look good, but after a while they start to strip and dont fasten properly. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any other skewers i could get in gold (other than spraying my own gold) Cheers Ross

Gandalf the Yellow
i guess the x-lite camlocks are what you're looking for? they also have a camlock special key/lever (you can remove it) so chavs can't just jack your wheels if you lock it up. i remember they come in loooads of colours llike hop but im not sure if they come in gold... hope i've helped. steve

David
Ive run hope QR's for ages. Never had any problems. If you tighten them up properly and look after them then they should last for ages.

aaron_trials _247
there are only problems really with the old (where the qr bolts onto the old type longer ends ) they are the ones causeing the problems mostly get a new one/pair and see if it solves the problem Dan

JonPace
the hope skewers have indeed changed and are far better now. My old red ones were terrible, the black ones I have now are ten times better.

the666ers
My old school Ti hope QR's are poo. The back wheel moves if it's sneezed at (well if I slip to bash or something similar) and is starting to become a pain in the arse. I am most definately going to look into sorting some fun bolts for the rear so I don't have to line up my wheel every 10 minutes.
