CH!P
i think the whole as you say cheese thing, or them being weak mainly refers to the t-pro, as they crack. the one i had did, twice. ← That's because you can't ride. Look at mine, over a year old and still no cracks. IMO OnZa are the best out there when it comes to quality for money. There's no way a frame should cost more than £300, Monty and Koxx etc just rip people off. I know I'm never going to pay that amount and will probably stick with OnZa. Tomm
When they first came out they were wank. Supercycles bought the Onza name from a company that went bust maybe 5 years ago. The original Onza made really cool, very top-end stuff, almost like CK. Then Supercycles bought the name and put it on their wank cheap trials bikes that were really, really awful (I'm thinking old T-Rex, T-pro etc). So they got a very bad name. But now they have a few decent riders on the team, and seem genuinely interested in making nice frames, at cheap prices. Which is definitely a good thing. If you can look past the slightly dodgy past, then there's nothing to dislike, really. Good bikes at good prices. Kinda like Skoda cars

zoojames
I'm very impressed with the recent Onza gear, they've finally realized that they can produce amazing quality products as well. Their rims have gone down a storm, beating competitors such as Koxx, and their new 05 frames are looking swish (got me a T-rex) So well done to them for finally fulfilling their potential! Over n out James
Bionic Balls
Some people have mentioned the t-rapter snapping on the drive side chainstay  well...they did redesign it- i'm pretty sure the chainstay/BB section is now CNC'd. Can't find a pic but hopefully someone can confirm it :"> adam
monkeyseemonkeydo
Onza's bad rep definately stems from a few years ago when they were a new company to trials and they're products were aimed very much at the budget end of the market. They have continued to make the odd design blunder which hasn't helped their case. However, in the last two years, they've started producing some very good stuff at very good prices. Ok, so the stuff I'm talking about isn't exactly unique in a design sense but it is very good value. A few years back I wouldn't have touched anything Onza with a 10ft pole, but today I'm the very happy owner of a T-Rex with Woodstock components and am very impressed with the standard of the bike. The only quibble being the colour, hence: Dave
Dan Clark
Didn't everyone get over all the Onza bashing when the T Pro and Pazzaz bars and stuff came out? I'm sure people are usually bumming them about T Rex's and how great they are at moment. I should probably pay more attention in trials chat. Just 'cos people want to have 'expensive' parts, if they see a cheapo company they assume the worst when it's not necessarily the case. Think - own-brand products. Very often as good as the real thing, but uber cheap so people think they're shady. Got some original Onza bar ends at home, there was some of those top qual Onza pedals in our bike shop, and there's a poster in my old maths class of some roadie breaking the World Hour record with Onza stickers all over the shop. plainlazy84
onza bashing? what onza bashing? I think this topic is pretty flawed really, as far as i can tell they havent been slated loads for years now.
Mark W
Well, that's a variant of the Onza, and I'd say it was pretty bashed. You've got your answer.
boon racoon
when onza make multiple forum accounts..to ask questions which they answer themselves and big themselves up and start threads about anonymous online trials retailers being illegal for not postng their address on their site they deserve a bit of shit "

Burton
Onza have had their bad momnets but theyre changing their ways... e.g the 04 t-pros used to snap at the downtube....so theyre using different materials to strength them U6 insted of 6061 designing frames like the coustellier, pitbull, python but slightly different and still very strong...for a lot less with an ACE warrenty ( which is nice ). People like Zoo! and Echo wasnt perfect...look at the es2, es3, lynx...snapped too easily, but now theyve got pythons, pitbuls, controls, pures, teams and soon HiFis'(not to listen to of course  )

MadManMike
My only beef with Onza, would be the awful paint. I used to have a T-Raptor, and I got rid of it purely because it's grey and silver looked absolutely awful. I'm buying a polished Reefer next month.. much better design :)
Tom Booth
T-Raptor snapping on the chainstay fast ← IMO OnZa are the best out there when it comes to quality for money. ← Ahmen to both of them, onza arent a bed company in all honesty, make quality frames at low prices, and in expreince they have learnt from there mistakes, like the t-raptors now having the one peice bb yoke section  and i cant complain at the warrenties either, the half price replacement scheme is a great idea  Tom
Towler
I my self have a zoo! pitbull along with a t-mag 2005, and the t-mag is really nice to ride IMO. "The second best value for money 20" trials bike in the World?" - and yes VERY good value for money, so they have some good new bikes also at cheap prices... is that not a good thing?"

He's not the only one who remembers.. its such a slack way of running a company, sinse then I have lost all respect for them.
