David
Aren't organic pads just standard ones? I thought it was sintered which were different..... Not too sure though!

CurtisRider
ahh just remebered-forgot to tell you last nite deore pads are supposed to be awful in terms of wear, so its worth looking into buying some decent pads like ebc reds (Y)
Ashley Smith
organic pads are just like normal pads to bed in, they are just standard pads, they are better suited for this counties climate, whereas, sintered take a bit longer to bed in. regards ash (Y)
bluecatracingcat
Cover the brake in water and ride down hills with it half on until it stops honking like a goose then spray more water and repete until it works good. Also you said it was 475, Machanical right? Adjust the inboard static pads as close to the rotor as possable then use the barrel adjusted to get the lever reach you want. (don't touch the rotor brake surface with your sticky little fingers). Edited April 6, 2005 by bluecatracingcat
