tipsy Jock
Dunno if anyone has ever worked in a clothes shop but the price tags are put on with kimble guns which have a needle that goes through the item then a small rod pushes the nylon tag through to the other side of the material. A guy i worked with last week price tagged his nipple lol, was funny as fook! :ermm: Pete
Brisa
Yuck, we have them in work. They're not a small needly either. :ermm:
CurtisRider
ahhh legends (Y) i wanted some gold nipples :- i take it these arent alloy ones..............
Tomm
I think... Alloy nipples are a bit rubbish. You'd have to get an opinion from someone who knows more about wheels than I do, but I tihnk alloy nipples tend to round easily, and therefore it's not a great idea to use them on a trials bike. I think they have to be alloy to be coloured.
rich4130
I think... Alloy nipples are a bit rubbish. ← I think they seize up, so when you go to true your wheel, they don't move and round off? Get a pen on brass ones heh.
OnzaNewbie
ahhh legends :- i wanted some gold nipples :- i take it these arent alloy ones.............. ← You and your gold!!!! they are paul, and really weak. go black brass nipples they are good :P I was going to get some red nipples for my new wheels, but they are crap, so I'm going for black brass ones!! Si-man
Get some proper ones mate. Alloy ones are poo and round off when you try to undo them after they seize up
AdamR28
Alloy nipples are fine if you prepare and build the wheel correctly. However, theyre obviously more prone to rounding off - but a small amount of care and the correct spoke key solves this too. Having said that, I use brass on my wheels, and don't see a need to change (Y)
