MadManMike
Next month I shall be purchasing a polished mission reefer. My old frame is a 'cuda Subway. My forks fit perfectly in the steerer tube at the moment. Will they still fit?? Also, is there anything abnormal about the reefer? I've seen thread on here like "I can't use parts x y & z with frame x y & z" So, any help? Cheers in advance
tipsy Jock
It may have a stupidly sized headtube designed to take 1.5" forks, other than that it should be fine. Different sized bb might be needed too :ermm: Pete
MadManMike
Ah that's ok my current BB is shagged anyway :D Hope it doesnt need new forks, I have Fatties stripped and polished, which will go rather nice with a polished Reefer :ermm: Cheers for the info mate... Cheers in advance ← im not sure if they only did it with the mod or not but............check to see if it has a 1.5inch headset-if so you will need a converter kit to take a 1 1/8steerer that your barracuda forks have i doubt you will have to change anything else-check the steerer tube is long enough in your forks to go through the headtube and offer enough space for the stem-otherwise there is little you can do other than buy a new set of forks :ermm: you may also need to change the bottom bracket-im unsure as to whether the cuda has a 68mm or a 73mm bb but its worth checking other than that i doubt you will have any other problemos :D dont forget that refers dont take a normal seatpost-they can be run with the same seat as a onza t raptor (supercycles deals with these) or without 1 at all as there is no bit of tubing to go up you bum good luck
Boothy
I have a reefer frame I dont use (For sale, with forks, bar and stem and headset/Bb) , I can check if you want me to. Although I am sure they have a normal headset in them.

kerley
the 1.5" headtube size was on the more recent frames, that were made to go with thier own mission forks. The older it is the more chance you have of it being 1 1/8" but you should be able to get an adapter from somewhere. Look on CRC or Wiggle

Waynio
the forks may be too short mate........... as the reefer is the same as a T-raptor and they have long headtubes something stupid like 5/6 inches i seem to remember that on the barracuda's thay had around a 4/5 inch steerer tube, you will be cutting it fine i think. not 100% but i seem to remember when we had barracuda's at Aire Valley, and we do onza's and the t-raptor same as reefer is mega long headtube.
