I made a topic about this tyre ages and ages ago.....

As I noticed Ryan Leech ran them in Manifesto, but I couldn't find them anywhere so I posted a topic but had no luck

Nobody could find them... but I suppose that was ages ago, so probaly somebody could find them now :S

yer at the cycle show in london last year there was a guy on a t rex with them and they looked nice and seemed to grip really well

im not sure where you could get them but you could try asking kenda directly and they may be able to put you in touch with your nearest stockest

That would be Rob Poyser at a guess.

I do indeed run kenda tyres.

I have had mixed thoughts about them, at first I thought they were average, I couldnt tell if they were better or worse than maxxis.

Then I thought they were shit because I slipped on a spine and I now have traumatic arthuritus in my thumb.

But I was at lake ogwin recently and they were gripping like velcro (ask tim stedman and dan smith).

I now think they are pretty dam good, on par with maxxis and the rear has immense puncture resistance! but is still lightish.

I dont think they are as soft as maxxis, but they seem stickyer.

I run blue grooves btw

yer i use the kollosal 2.6 on the rear and a kenetics 2.35 on the front, both stick-e, they are the best tyres i found. you can allso get 2.6 kenetics for the rear, i think this has a better tred pattern, but unfortuatley it is single ply and pinch flats easy in comps, allthough its good with a fat dh tube in for street. they are deffo as goos as maxxis slow reasy. you should be abe to get from any bike shop, just ask them, they are from moore and large if they ask.

if not i have a few that i can sell at comps, both new and used.

i'm runnin a 2.35 nevegal stick-E on the rear. tis bout the same weight as my old minion rear. not really had chance to test it properly, as my rear brake is bein proper gay :ermm: did give it a hammerin touch hoppin onto some waxed scaffold poles, and it coped pretty good!! not really noticed any disadvantage of the smaller carcass, and spinnin on the rear wheel is made more difficult, even at higher pressures. the compound has a really slow rebound (?), usin the old 'twist a knobble' test. takes a good 10secs to return to shape, if at all:p wear rate seems ok, though agen, not 'used' them much. oh, and they are pretty inexpesive to boot!

BETD/Goldtec (Midlands) sell them - 01782 629462. They got their own onsite shop now, and everyone there is really cool and friendly. tell em smithy sent you!

gaggin for ma replacement forks! can't wait to get out and try em in the warm weather!
