Noth Wales Indoor Bike Battle

i just thought it was absolutley vital for me to post something, now in home again..

a HUGE thankyou to TOM for organising one hell of an event.

i have not been to, let alone entered an event like this before.

and it was AMAZING !

me ,Ali C and Sam waddy.... arrived friday evaning due to a transport problem,

we helped finish off the huge amount of work which had been done to build sections and clean up the hall,

all the obstacles were brilliantly thought out, and solid to ride on..

on saturday, there was 3 easy going riding sessions,, these baiscally consisted of people chatting and riding and having a great time messing around and practising.

there was even the vital food and drink for sale,,(cheers toms little brother)

on sunday, there was a practise session in the morning, where we tried to cram in learning some comp style moves..

the comp was so simply arranged,

i think there was 9 competitors...

we were all called out and had an individual 2 minuite run,,

then a 15 min break and this was repeated.

during your runs there were no rules, on feet,hands,pedals, or even heads touching the sections,,

YOU JUST WENT FOR IT!!

even for a small event tom had managed to arrange ,

a nice pair of forks

a decent pair of bars

and

4 t-shirts for prizes.....!

well done to tim steadman who took first place,Ali C who got second, and Danny Smith for third,

i was well pleased with 5th and really enjoyed the whole thing..!

im not going to go on about an insufficient turnout,,because thats been done/

but i will say, if (and i really hope it does) another one happens,,

.....you would be an idiot to miss out !

again thanks to TOM and all the locals that helped,

(and i want to thank Ali C, waddy and myself for a couple of hours of hitting things with hammers,on friday, hahahaha)

and a final thankyou to danny smith for towing us to chester on monday,,legend !
