Twilite
When did he leave Ashton? I'm living in the past I guess, but I wasn't aware he'd gone. Wasn't there long was he? (Did he go to Ashton, or am I remembering things that didn't happen again? If he didn't I may have to edit this post to say something like "Cool, nice one" so I don't look like a fool. :- )

Trials Tom
Why move from a company owned and run by one of the most famous trials riders in the U.K. with 3 different trials bikes to chose from to one which has a mostly BMX heritage and a not so well known of trials bike/frame? AdamR28
to one which has a mostly BMX heritage and a not so well known of trials bike/frame? ← Might appeal to the likes of Akrigg. Also, he could (possibly) design a totally new frame to exactly what he likes?
Matt_Tupman
Why move from a company owned and run by one of the most famous trials riders in the U.K. with 3 different trials bikes to chose from to one which has a mostly BMX heritage and a not so well known of trials bike/frame? ← Money :- they will pay a good wage and will throw loads of money at a frame for him, he will get to develope his own frame and then get his own signiture model. seems like a good idea to me :- good on him
Badboy
On a little bit of a different line, but have you seen the house that Mongoose bought long time rider Tim 'Fuzzy' Hall? :- I'm sure they have the budget to sort Akrigg out a good deal

Urpedigreechumdog
Hmm, saw Chris at the bikeshow today, imo the frame is pretty damn crap in the sense that i firstly though it was a jump bike :- I'm not a long, low and silver only person either, i love curtis', and the et24 :- But the mongoose was rather strange :) Ah well i don't have to ride it so i'm not getting annoyed about it :-

Lukeee
Taken from Gateeight.com  Gate Eight team rider Chris Akrigg is now riding for Mongoose / Air Valley Cycles / Hyundai / Hotwheels and Muc - Off. Mongoose have a new trial bike coming out and Chris should be on it for the Bike Show next weekend. The GT and Mongoose UK teams have picked up Hyundai UK as their main sponsor. This means that very soon Dave Wardell, Chris Smith and Chris Akrigg will be driving around in brand spanking new Hyundai Santa Fe 4wds. They have been fitted with alloys, blacked out windows, leather seats. Check one out at the Bike Show this weekend on the GT stand. Nice. Couldn't see ashton giving him a motor. :-
