Badboy
I have the pic on my comp an i zoomed in, there is only one set of teeth. Also if you zoom in you can see the magura hangin the other side of the bike ready to be installed.
Bendee
i have to say it does kinda look like its the double freewheel but when you zoom in on the pic it does seem to be a normal freewheel.
Tomm
Um, what's a double freewheel?

Mark W
Yeah, but did you look then click "DOUBLE FREEWHEEL"? Basically, imagine a freewheel with an outer ring which is wider, with two sets of teeth on; one is 16t and one 18t (that's the Pashley one, anyway). Tried finding a link, but no joy. Aaaaaaaaanyway, Ian at Onza's just given me this shot to put up of the frame:
Tomm
Yeah, but did you look then click "DOUBLE FREEWHEEL"? ← Yar, didn't really say much. I wondered if you'd found something else?
Dr. Nick Riviera
Why is that not good?!?! You talk mucho bollocks on here sometimes, you have no clue of the design of the bike, so justify your words before saying them next time. ← my comment was merely based on the aesthetics of the frame. in MY OPINION the woodstock looks better as a "standard" frame as opposed to a longer/lower frame based upon the origonal
rhythm_101
i hope it's not made out of the same tubing as the woodstock :- thin as foook, if its like the T-rex then they're onto a winner :) but i have to say that i think it looks better as a full bike  it look a bit toilet frame only :-
N.Wood
I'm liking very much, hopefully Onza won't hike the price up too much. Though if it comes out at around the same price as the T-Rex, maybe that will become obsolete? Who knows. Not i. Er, yeh, nice bit of reinforcement infront of the BB/bottom of downtube. The rear Seatstay cluster looks very XTP-ish, always good considering brakes are super solid even without a booster on Le Koxx's. I like the colour, and the understated graphics, though i'm not sure i'd like someone elses name on my bike :- Top job Onza, as Al Fel says, lets hope they bring out the carbon forks to go with the frame, i recon they'd be onto a winner :- Again, well done Onza! tank_rider
I've already said i like it, and still do having looked at it a bit more. In terms of where i'd like to see it fit into the range, there was talk a while back about a lighter version of the t-rex, but i never saw that come to fruition. My guess would be that this will take its place in the lineup, and be the long comp oriented frame, with the t-rex being their heavier, yet more durable frame. Much like the XTP is in relation to the levelboss in the KOXX range :- One final thing, please please please, produce a 1060mm version for little ol me :- As for price, the detail on the frame such as the extra cnc'd parts would probably bump the price up. My guess would be around £325-375 :- as this would still be significantly less than the KOXX XTP and Coust with which i would think it will compete. Brian Bleech
I have the pic on my comp an i zoomed in, there is only one set of teeth. ← is there! i will have to wait till i can get home and have a proper zoom in! to me (at the moment) it looks as if the there is a set of teeth to the right of the chain, but the chain is not resting on the bb shell so I looks as if there must be another freewheel there. Plus with the freewheel teeth looking bigger than the bash it seems that he would have 16/18 double freewheel. EDIT: had a zoom and it does appear to be a correct sized bash with one free wheel. thats odd that Also he doesnt use the bash, he is a UCI rider, so it doesnt have to be big (better clearance) Yes he does ride UCI, but whats the point of having a bash guard if it doesn't cover the cog, may as well just not run the guard and have a freewheel. and even 'UCI riders' use there bash if the have too. Ashley Smith
nice looking frame, i wouldnt mind having a go on it to see how it compares to my zoo pitbull, onza really seem to be stepping up the market now.................. regards ashley
Al_Fel
I'm liking this thread. Make me think how many trials frames there are out now. Where as no so long ago everyone was riding XC or DS frames lol.
STEVE-0
I really like that frame, looks mint!! i bet its well light and i like the idea of having a little BB rise. So what it ashley gonna be riding, his onza proto still or a t-mag or something?????
Phatmike
Only one freewheel. :- Frame looks pretty good, nice colour. Not much more i can add. Mike.
Trebor
Sure looks like another set of teeth there, though the chain's probably just sitting next to it, i.e. not on another cog. As it would be super pointless having gears and two of those rings upfront. I like the frame though, the brake mounts/area look very Vinco-esque  Edit: You absolute slag Mike :-

Definately sitting on that freewheel/cog, the chain definately goes onto the teeth. :- Edit: You absolute slag Mike  ← I aim to please. :-
Badboy
Fatmike, thank you very much for posting that close up, at last people will believe that its only one set of teeth! Oh if the carbon forks that Dan is using are to be put in to production, they will be expensive! Unless anyone can convince onza that they will sell hundreds of them! The fornales were around the £500 mark, an they are a company that deals with carbon loads! Dans were a prototype, an so to replicate them the cost you are looking at is £thousands!
cultiv8ed ::Chris::
it would be cool if onza made them carbon forks " they would be able to sell loads as well, because riders from other countries like france would buy them as well. chris
Tartridge
Does Akrigg even have a signature frame? :- ← Yep, Onza Woodstock (basically). he will be gettin one soon apparently, an ashton made 26 inch "street" whatever that means these days... ← He's now riding for Mongoose though, he was riding it at the show today. If that is Dans goldtec rear hub then it will be locked out, so no double freewheel ← Tis a prototype Tensile Fixed rear hub. I have the pic on my comp an i zoomed in, there is only one set of teeth. ← Standard freewheel, yep  My guess would be that this will take its place in the lineup, and be the long comp oriented frame, with the t-rex being their heavier, yet more durable frame. Much like the XTP is in relation to the levelboss in the KOXX range :D Sounds about right to me :- Without the price tags. One final thing, please please please, produce a 1060mm version for little ol me Tis Danny's signature frame, so, unlikely to be a short frame available. As for price, the detail on the frame such as the extra cnc'd parts would probably bump the price up. My guess would be around £325-375 :) as this would still be significantly less than the KOXX XTP and Coust with which i would think it will compete. ← Exactly. Theres a few small changes pencilled in as well at the moment, including: Standard headtube. 1 piece CNCd chainstay yoke and BB shell. 73mm BB shell (no more BB spacers, better tyre clearance). Possibility of internally routed cables. More work in the top yoke. Weight is approx 1.95kg, 2kg was their target. The tubeset is very similar to that of the Woodstock - it is, after all, a UCI comp frame... I'll try and get some decent pics tomorrow :D

Mark W
Shouldn't someone show them the pics of that guy's Vinco from OTN that snapped around the holes in the frame for the internal routing of the cable (and the fact that it now has hose guides)? Urpedigreechumdog
Even though it has benn said.... That bike is damn sexual! I saw it today (well drooled over it for 10 minutes) the two onza guys must have thought that i was a dirty chav, as all i was doing was closely inspecting and taking some complimentary anodised hogs :- Edited April 1, 2005 by Urpedigreechumdog
