Networking Computers

Basically i want to network my computer im using at the moment and my new computer im building (will have a asus a8n sli deluxwe mother board) correct me if im wrong, but that mother board allready has a onboard lan thingie? On my computer im using at the moment it says (on spec bit) "10/100Mbps Ethernet for connectiverty to braodband cable/DSL" this mean it has a network card in it or wat (Y) lol if not, preferably wireless, how much am i looking to network the two computers together. Please can you include a link to a product as well, Thanks alot apreciate it, Jake

Right. If your wanting it to just share internet with both PC's from one broadband modem then do this (if possible)

USB from modem to PC, buy a CROSSOVER ethernet cable, connect both PC's up using that crossover cable, and I cant remember if you need to do this but its dead simple, go to control panel > network connections. then on the left you shall see something that says soething like setup a small home/office network click that and go through the steps, also the pc without the USB goin to modem needs to be selected as this option: "This PC is connected to the internet directly through another computer." and the other computer on the other selection.

Any problem just ask and I will make a bigger effort to help.

Get a router. Don't bother with crossover cables and that crap. Routers are very cheap these days, and it'd save you messing around with another network card and connection bridging. I.e. Simpler, better. And when you've spent that much on a PC, you can't skimp on something as simple as a router...
