Bigman
Righty then, just found these on OTN, the new echo team, back in 2 lengths again: New "Hi-Fi" 26inch 55mm BB rise, 1080mm WB: I think they look nice, but like they have tried to go for the XTP look, obviously, but not been able to afford the full CNC brake mounts, and just went for an in-built booster, oh well, see what they are like once they are releaced. Boothy
I've not had any mod exerience, and don't know hardly anything about them, but I think that they look gorgeous, better than the XTP's, although it all depends how they ride i suppose. Ali C
I think they look great, the stock sounds like it has really good geo (what I would want anyway) and I think its a lot better looking than the xtp (quite an ugly frame)
colly
edit: is the hi-5 the stock 1080,? at first i thought it was the mod i was gonna say 1080 >_<" Edited March 23, 2005 by colly

Mr Motivator
55mm bb rise! Mod stem needed
Bigman
55mm bb rise! Mod stem needed ← Hmm, i think a mod stem would be abit to high for a 55mm bb rise, i mean the tarty proto, that had 85mm bb rise and didn't use a stem as high as a mod (correct me if wrong ads or dave) I think maybe a 25deg or sumet not 100% sure Ok, after a little play on a calculator, using my 120mm 5 deg stem, worked out what angle would be required for a 120mm lenght stem, that was 60mm higher to compensate for the BB rise, it worked out at slightly over 30 deg: 120 tan 5 = 10.5mm so 120mm length, say 60mm higher to compensate: INV tan (70.5/120) = 30.4 degrees, I think that is right. Simon
If that Hi-Fi comes in at a good price, then i've just found my new frame. Looking great. Also not sure on the headtube though. Will see heh.
AdamR28
Looks like it should come in at under £400, if the expected US$ price is anything to go by (compared with current US prices of the Control)
Smo™
Anyone got a clue on the release dates of these frames? I'm loving the Hi-Fi, may well be my next  Edit: It looks chrome like the Coustellier frame, am I right or is it my eyes playing tricks? AdamR28
so 120mm length, say 60mm higher to compensate = 30.4 degrees, I think that is right. ← Tis pretty simple  'Normal' MTB trials stem might be 120mm x 5/10 degrees.

Luke Drewery
They look very sweet, some nice innovative designs, im sure they'll be very good frames, probably take over the current echo frames to be the most popular

andyroo
Am I the only one who prefers brushed aluminium as opposed to polished? Not to keen on the built in booster lookswise, but it looks pretty sturdy! Reminds of that over cnc'd onza mod proto a while back
Danny
That headtube looks gash IMO but if the geos good and it rides nice how it looks doesnt matter.
