delusional
I think this could run this risk of being counter productive. The problem is that if you associate an individual (or a couple of individuals) with a specific area of knowledge then someone looking for advice in that area might go straight to that person for advice instead of posting on the open forum. What this means is:The person listed as the 'expert' could feel a little pressured to help people, depending on how many people are contacting them and how busy there are in real life this could be quite an issue for them. You're actually less likely to get your question answered quickly. Everyone has limits to their knowledge and if you only ask one person a question and they don't know you have to go and find someone else before you get an answer. It's kind of contrary to the idea of a forum... one of the useful things about asking a question on a forum is that you get a mix of replies and when your question is answered its available for anyone else to see to save anyone from having to answer the same question again (well, in theory). Also, I think everyone kind of knows their area of expertise and will automatically look at any topic they think they might be able to answer (and also they can be bothered to answer). Thus automatically pairing the experts with the questions. The best way of making sure your question is answered by the person with the requisite knowledge is to give it a sensible title, put it in the right forum and use legible spelling and grammar :)
