UrbanLegend
"That seems so worth it wacko.gif . What a waste of a hub." Yer thats great that is (Y) ← Bottom line, I expressed my opinion, which in the end is what forums are all about. Don't cry about it. I'm not bothered what you do with your hub. This is the last post I'll make on the matter because I won't be drawn into an immature argument about a piece of metal which spins round. Take a chill pill ;)

CH!P
Me thinks someone's got bit of an attitude " Just get a King or something if you want good engagement and a nice noise, surely the best way to go?

CH!P
Lol, that's what I mean. They becmoing available cheaper all the time, why do you think just about everyone's got one now? And I'm sure if you saved abit and then some money from a birthday or something and you'd have plenty. Just saying I can't see the point in making a hub weaker to sound and perform nicer (although, obviously, it's nice for good engagement and the noise  )
sm_ben
Putting harder springs in I found was good dont know about putting 6 in instead of 3 though. There are 3 for a reason

Ashley Smith
this is quite simple to do if you have the machinery........... looks like there is no threads for the lockring for cassette body though...... might be wrong, but even so its quite easy to screw cut the threads  top job, as always thought of doing that myself

Trebor
Dave, stop being such a boob  You done something 'silly' people expressed an opinion, I'm sure you've never always posted positive stuff, so you don't need to get all pissy on here. Like you said it's your choice, so why get so annoyed about some guy on the internet saying it's silly, it doesn't affect you at all so you may as well take it, or maybe even learn from it? Davetrials
It pisses me off that people are basically guranting(SP?) that my hub will die with in a matter of hours ffs, they have absolutely no idea at all Untill you see ME ride and watch MY hub "die" then you can judge. Brisa
I done this to my hub last year. It lasted a good 3 months after that and for all I know could have gone then if left standard. You learn by your mistakes. I own a hope sport that has been kicking around for 5 years with NO returns to hope as yet and NO damage at all to the ratchet ring. This has been on a downhill bike, endofreaks trials bike since he basically started trials then passed to me recently. Its in mint condition and it had the springs stretched as far as i'm aware, by (luke_londontrials) many years ago. On subject of hope sport, do they have tougher internals than mono/xc's? I ask as i mean this one has NO damage at all. Its silly. Plus it has skipped a bit before when needing serviced so i'm surprised at the cleanness of ratchet ring.
