Boothy
HELP! Just got a new frame and Ive built it all up, apart from my cranks which are stuck on my old frame. I can't get them off. I've tried the hammer, and wd40d the Bb area to try and loosen them up. Any more Ideas? Cheers

Fishwog
Pour a kettle of boiling water slowly over the connection between crank and BB, then ride around for 5 minutes without the crank bolt in, then give it a twat with a bit of wood and a hammer. Don't just directly hit the crank with a hammer, it weakens the crank.
JT!
Havent got one. Thats why I asked you lot. ← Then buy one. If your using ISIS, you'll definatly need one. If your running squared, you might be able to get away with bashing the crap out of it. But the best way is to buy one. (Y)
Mark W
Crank extractors dominate. However, if you do what I did and put your cranks on super tight, then they shat their threads off, you may have to just resort to riding it without a bolt. If you're aware, you can spot it before it falls off or anything, and just yank it off 'fore it rapes the tapers. It didn't harm my crank at all (Y)
