CH!P
You need to have Service Pack 2 or it wont work. Just get it off Window's update and then install UX Theme.
trialsking 55
i came off it as soon as it said it was going to change files but the little box cam up. it hasnt changed anything as far as i can see and i dont think it could have seen as i didnt click it i just want a second ( or third fourth,fifth,sixth,seventh...) opinion as i think its weird that the box still came up

Fishwog
Are you talking about the file protection system that comes up when you go to install it, the thing that it tells you to ignore? Spikenipple
Do you actually have SP2 installed? If not, why don't you install the uxtheme.dll for SP1? the r0x0r!
Danny
the r0x0r! ← = Spyware bundled themes
Danny
Do you actually have SP2 installed? ← The UXTheme Multi-Patcher v2.5.1 has been created for Neowin by WindowsX and Vorte[x]. It patches the UXTheme.dll for Windows XP/SP1/SP2 Beta/RTM and 2003 and allows you to use un-signed custom visual styles. http://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=140707

Tomm
I've never had a problem with spyware or adware coming from themexp's packages. ← They've changed them recently though, and now they're all bundled with a load of shite.
biketrialler
Weird, I downloaded some themes just 2 days ago and they were just zip files with only the required theme, wallpaper and icon files in
Spikenipple
My point exactly, i downloaded a few about three weeks ago and they only had the needed files
biketrialler
I know, I was replying to what Tomm said about them bundling their themes with crap  ThemeXP themes tend to be pretty crappy from what ive experienced though. Spikenipple
I haven't actually ever come across a different site before, so ThemeXP is what i tend to use to get whatever i need. Could you point me in the direction of other theme sites please?
