Tartridge
Perfectly normal for an abused (used for trials) Hope rear hub

Danny
The marks in the section where the pawls slot into are where the axle flex's and hits the ratchet. If any of those marks have sharp edges just file them smooth
N.Wood
Yep, mine was like that. You could file them off if you're worried about them (i read somewhere on the intrawebs they catch on something inside the hub making bad things happen...But as i said, it was on a website). Might want to keep an eye on your axle, mine had those lil marks...then my hub was off to Hope with a snapped axle and a knackered ratchet (one was a result of the other)
holroyd-wanna-be
looks like your axle is bent  ← Great More money to shell out  i thought me quick realease was slightly bent.cheers for the help anway
holroyd-wanna-be
it wasnt like that one day and a week later they were  there might aswell save for the new hope trials hub.thanks anyway for the info.

thefletch
Might be bearing, if they've got play it would have the same affect as the axel flexing. And if its now silent you've probly got to much grease in the for trials use, if you dont want it to skip.
Wayne-king
it's fine  just indentations from the axle flexing, forcing the freehub body down into the ratchet  my old Hope did the same
manuel
it's fine  just indentations from the axle flexing, forcing the freehub body down into the ratchet  my old Hope did the same ← yer - tis true - happened to all the hope hubs i ever had and they are finally gonna do summut about it . . . . . trial hub . . yay you could file off the bits that stick out - as they could damage the ratchets but the ratches fit in the grooves already made
onzamad
thats something ive been wondering about, are freehibs ment to have much grease in them or do you generally run them fairly dry. thanks
