b'mouth trials
When I was building my revell I wanted to use my normal 2 bolt booster but then realised that it was not wide enough! :( Does anyone know which 4bolt booster will fit it because I don't want to buy a echo or rb for example and find that it doesn't fit, and I really want a booster to stop my brake being sooooooo spongy (Y) Cheers, Aaron ;)
Trials Tom
I don't know of any specifically, but maybe you could try and find or get a booster designed to fit a mod, because I seem to remember that some mods have really wide stays so wide boosters. I think onza mods are like that. Give it a try?
andyroo
Echos and RBs are both designed to fit a 2.5" tyre in them, so they will all be fine! The echo one looks good, the one specifically for the echo control looks very good, to me personally, but they will all fit.
trialsguru
im running an xtr carbon booster and the cnc magura 1 on my revell but ive got vee mounts on mine so i dunno if the 4 bolt will be wider or not
dave85
What distance are the mounts apart?
HarshRider
ask clive at leeson bikes if he will make you a booster top fit your revell! these are seriously good boosters! if not see if the big bulky echo conrtol would fit! OR try and find a shimano xtr booster :( the only 3 boosters i recon i would use
b'mouth trials
What distance are the mounts apart? ← This was really dodgy measuring and I could be waay off but at the top it looked like about 100mm and at the bottom it was about 103mm :) . I was thinking of making one myself but I'm not sure if I can be arsed :) :( . Cheers, Aaron. Edited March 6, 2005 by b'mouth trials
Dai the Socket
but I'm not sure if I can be asked ← Southener :( HEHE joke. My mate from Swindon introduced me to 'asked' meaning 'arsed' :).
dave85
RB will just fit, XTR wont, echo control will with ease. And yeah, mounts welded on the piss like that are normal :(
CurtisRider
im pretty sure 4 bolt mounts are 100mm apart whereas 2 bolt are 80mm :( (i measured several bikes and found these were the common measurements for my as level design coursework-give or take a few mm!!) any 4 bolt booster will fit as far as im aware of and obviously you cant fit a 2 bolt 1 on..... (Y) so no xtr booster for you try an echo contro boosterl-they look beastly and cant be worse than an rb (ok rbs arent that bad but do flex alot still) personally i dont think you can beat making your own :) (Y)
b'mouth trials
Ok, thanks guys, I think I may try an echo control ,they're huuge lol! Thanks very much, Aaron. :)
Luke Drewery
I think the rb designs or koxx ones will fit because ive got a levelboss which also has very wide mounts and most boosters don fit, but im pretty sure the rb does, so it should be wide enough for your frame.
