100 Greatest Cartoons

Well, I have just finished watching 100 greatest cartoons, and I want to see if we all agree with the top 20, they are in order of how they came out. There are some Japanese ones that I have never seen before. :turned:

family guy and ren and stimpy are the best of the rest!!

was diappointed that there was no mention of jayce and the wheeled warriors or citys of gold

I'd definately agree with the simpsons! I'd move south park down a few though, its funny but it gets so repetitive. And move ren and stimpy up!

I started watching it got to about 80 then looked and realised it was on for 4 hours 5 mins and couldnt be bothered watching it all :turned:

1) Simpsons - Though the show is a complete piece of shit now. They've lost all the things which made it good, I mean, Homer's just a complete spacco now, and the show revolves around him being stupid, Marge is just crazy and not the loving, sence talking Mother she used to be. Lisa's practically an adult now, Bart's probably changed the least, though he is stupider and again more of an adult. Mr Burns doesn't seem evil anymore, he jsut seems timid and old. And they always have to try and get a celebrity in it, not that they'll do a damn thing, why did they even bother with Tony Blair in that England episode?

Over-critical of a cartoon? Yes, yes I am, I've been watching it since I was about 5 or 6 years old so it's kinda stuck with me :">

2) South Park - I've got pretty much all the seasons on my computer, I think it's awesome, as they actually tackle issues and inform you about stuff in the show but in an incredibly funny manner, making you remember and thinking about it further. The Mormen one is especially funny.

3) Family Guy - is just awesome, pretty much taking the best bits of the early Simpsons and adding it's own twist, Family Guy owns.

Was disappointed that Futurama wasn't in there, I like that show.

I think family guy is my fave, its just so random and funny.

I agree with Raub about the simpsons, they seem like they are running out of ideas and just making up a "story" during a lunch break.

I also really likes the Incredibles, I dont know what it was about it, but I loved it, that comes in 2nd for me.

3rd...........difficult........I think Ren & Stimpy do it for me, although sometimes the show is just plain creepy!

Im going to agree, the simpsons wins it everytime for me.

As mentioned ^^^ some of the newer episodes arnt amazing, but the older ones, my god they are funny! It has given us so many quotes its unreal, and i dont think ive ever seen an episode that didnt make me laugh at least once. Its a cartoon in its own league and the likes of family guy, futurama etc were all spawned from the simpsons and they just dont compare

jayce is one of my favorite cartoons ever! I love it from what I remember there the ended was pretty messed up, like his father was a monster mind or something :blink:

it was at number 24 (I think) or do you mean disappointed it wasn't in the top ten, but yeah it should never have got cancelled (Y)

nah unfortuately not dude, both of those are amazing... though bertha theme tune went something like 'bertha, lovely bertha, she works like a dream' but didn't it break down like every epidsode!

No mention of any good cartoons, no Hellsing, Trigun, Berserk or Cowboy Bebop, those 4 being the only cartoons that I can really stand.

Sure, the simpsons is great, but futurama is just so much better, i can't believe it got cancled.

As awesome as they were, they're not strictly cartoons are they? As in, drawings and stuff.

I watched a fair bit of it... that pyscho cat one was so funny, especially the comments made by the long-haired bloke. haha.

Good bit of reminiscing, anyways. :blink:

Futurama is better than nowadays Simpsons, go back to when Simpsons was in it's prime, it'd wipe the floor with it (Y)

Yeah it sucks that Futurama got cancelled, but you can see why Matt Groening got rid of it, as Simpsons must generate sooo much more money for the fella. Futurama's good though, set 1000 years in the Future kinda gives you a bit of leeway in terms of what you can do with stories, hence why Simpsons is complete toilet now :blink:
