Too maney people have the yellow bands now, and they are being sold for loads of money when they used to only be £1. There is loads of different ones now, i.e beat the bully's, breast cancer, make povety history and racism. Personly I think the hole idia of the bands has gone way out of hand, everyones got one. Apparently some children got beaten up for wearing the beat the bully bands (Y) , it just shows what a good idea they are! Its pritty obvios that it would happen.

Your freinds got the rite idea, he mite make alot of money, one of my friend sold a blue band for £25, lol

if the money for the band is gfoing to a good couse then i think its a great idea...its the people who have made their own and are selling them to make a personal profit that are stupid.

For example i gave £5 to a tsunami appeal and got a band. (Y)

I can't really figure out how that works, they are NOT designed as fashion items - they are sold to promote awareness and to raise money for the livestrong cancer foundation.

So, they could never sell enough bands in my opinion. Also the fact that they ahve become a fashion item is brilliant. It means more are sold so more cancer victims get more support.

Period.

Why does anyone have to know whether you've given money to a charity though? If you want to give money to a charity, just give it. You don't need a poxy band to show you've done it.

It's just a fashion item now, which sucks.

Because it's also about awareness.

Thats why we wear poppies and such like.

It's more of a respectful type thing than anything.

But surely it loses it's respect if everyone wears all the different ones 'cos they're fashionable & cool? I mean, it's good that there's all the money going in, but it's a bit shallow in a way. The Livestrong ones were good, but now there's all these other crappy ones it just seems a bit OTT.

I'll buy it if he actually sends it special delivery for 26P! :ermm:

Funny thing is, it cost him 12P to list it too. :-

Mike.

Edit: Another thing that pisses me off. Under "cycling accessories" then "other accessories", there's over 9000 "bands" of somesort! Could ebay just sort out a seperate category?
