holroyd-wanna-be
Afternoon. I took my freehub off on saturday and put it all back together after cleaning with a bit of bearing grease and now my hub runs silently and feels smooth when i pedal. Would it be ok to clean it up again and use finishline xc wet lube and a bit of grease over the seal? cheers for any help
Brisa
Yes that should be fine, even more so that grease as it tends to clog up and not let the pawls release as well as a light oil would.
biketrialler
Yeh, when I service my Hope hubs I tend to use a dash of Finishline wet XC in them (N) Works a treat!
tank_rider
a spot of finish line in each of the pawl seats then a couple on the ratchet should be all it needs.
