Nick Garland
Just got about 10 people to sign up through MSN. :- we must keep the old tube, as someone else said no lids to fire at mates otherwise.
Mike Deere
I'm sure you'll all agree that we should all go and stock-pile tubes of Smarties whilst they are still around :-
Simon
I do :- I reckon they'll do a Coco Pops/Choco Krispies style turnaround :P ← Bloody hope so. They mentioned something about "keeping their image fresh" in the press release, which leads me to believe this also could be a massive publicity stunt to liven them back up again. As far as i can tell, everyone is outraged :P Quite cute how we are so attached to that round rocket smarties tube :) If it goes, never again will i eat smarties :P
Smo™
Good god what is the world coming to. The tubes are what Smarties are all about, without the tube, they're just another chocolate treat.
Tomm
Argh nooooo! No point eating Smarties if you can't have the tube. We will have a generation of kids who have never fired the lid across the room by stamping on an empty tube! However, my complete collection of smarties-top letters will be worth a fortune :- This is a disgrace! I suggest we organise an immediate boycott of all Nestle products.Awsome :)

cultiv8ed_mike
Best quote of that article: "I've spent the last 32 years building a two storey house for my family entirely out of Smarties tubes, using the lids as flooring, paving stones and a driveway. I estimated to be finished by 2008, but if the hexagons come in, I'm going to have to redo the whole roof." tomturd
Blatant publicity stunt! Why on earth would Smarties go to the trouble of telling BBC news about it and even sending them pictures. Ill buy someone a tube of smarties if they do actually change it for good
