Watson© Posted February 18, 2005 Report Share Posted February 18, 2005 (edited) Yeah mines does the same... it's when you lock the front brake and put more force on the front end... the pads then rock back and forward inside the caliper... this making it lead to a horrid banging noise! but I don't think it will effect it in anyway or damage it... well I hope not B) But Tart if you get what im trying to say... is there anyway I can solve this noise as it does sound rather scary B) :( Edit: But apart from that minor problem ( even though it's not really a problem ) the brake is f***ing amazing!!!! the666ers Posted March 12, 2005 Report Share Posted March 12, 2005 My lever creaked really really badly at one stage, to a point where it impaired the power of the brake. I took the whole lever apart right to to ball and socket, cleaned it all with degreaser, and re-assembled it with finesse multi lube on all the proprietory interfaces to reduce the friction which caused the breaking.
