Are you sure you're going up to 2mb? I'd have thought you'd be going up to 1, seen as I'm already on 1mb/s and I'm getting upgraded to 2mb/s.

Infact, I'm almost certain you're only going up to 1mb/s, otherwise the current 1 meggers would be paying more for the same service.

I think you're going to 1mb/s, not 2

Competition is driving prices down thats all. They could just make it cheaper for existing customers but that would mean they get less money  so they just give u a faster service instead so you still pay them the same. They will probably release a slower cheaper service after the upgrade

Nope

There look. - scroll down, we are not on broadband basic.

Well that's just great. Anyone ever found it easy to use up 15GB of bandwidth in a month? It's tempting to downgrade. I believe they can actually tell how much bandwidth people have used nowadays?

That's actually quite annoying.

I really dislike BT so much,

ARGHH

PS: BT have the crappest customer service ever, never buy from BT

They may be doubling (or quadrupling) your speed, but they're halving your monthly bandwidth caps. What exactly is the point of having a 2meg line if you have a download cap of 15gig? I regularly do twice that on a 512k line.

Don't even get me started on the 1gig cap for basic users. I used to use more bandwidth than that on dial-up!

Have you been charged for it though? I'm on BT and always go over the limit but never get charged.

Has anybody ACTUALLY been charged for going over yet?

No, 15 gb monthly download limit is 500mb a day? (500mb * 30 = 15 gb)

Am i right? Which is quite alot, i couldn't get through that. And even if i am on 2mb conection, i dont think i'll download more.
