SQuiT-man
For the monty carbon-look stems with the sloping stemcap thing, can you use an Xlite stem plug (e.g. the ones which don't use a star fangled nut, and have their own stem cap)? Or do you have to use a fancy one which comes with it? I just like my xlite stem plug a lot- its so simple compared with having to use the old star fangled nut, etc! I want a monty stem on my mod, but also want to keep my stem plug- is this fine? Cheers Scott
TheMunn
You have to run the monty top cap with those stem's.

And i don't think you get one with it, i had to pay extra for mine when i realised my normal cap wouldn't go on. I thought that mine would just pull down, and would just sit at an angle, but it was no where near. Nice stem though.
Bucky
Use the locking echanism form the X-lite one but with the monty top cap. I didnt get a sloped top cap with mine so I got a 12mm spacer and grinded it down at an angle and it worked fine.....
